I've gotta ask if you have ever used over the ear headphones for the purpose of working out before? I've seen people do it, but it's seriously like wearing a pair of earmuffs and it's amazing to me that people don't overheat. It makes me think people need to have earbuds (preferably bluetooth) for workouts and headphones for music and video. Personally I have three pair, status hd one's for movies and tv, mpow wolverines for working out and just work, and a pair of cheapies in case the wolverines go dead all three of which cost me less than your budget. I also doubt you will find much with both wired and bluetooth for just $100.

Anyways a quick cnet search gave me a pair called hellas which seem okay. The thing with working out is that sweat proof (or at least sweat resistance) needs to be a feature which means you will likely need a material not designed to be the most comfortable pair of cans possible. You can always check out Sennheiser's stuff although they apparently agree that workout headphones are really bluetooth buds.

yeah i have a set of ear buds but they get snagged or one falls out in the middle of a set lol. right now i have been using my XO sevens and really enjoy the isolation.

I found these which seem to be decent for the price based on the reviews

I've tried using earbuds, but they suck for working out. Over the ear is much better (no need to adjust, put back on/in, more comfortable). You do seem to warm up quicker, but the concern for overheating seems misplaced.

@Serraph105: I prefer over the ear headphones to work out. I have a pair of these. They work pretty well. You are right about the sweat though. I have to take off the earmuffs after every run and wipe down the excess sweat.

TC, don't know about a pair of headsets like you are speaking of. I have a pair for exercising, and a pair for watching TV/gaming. Maybe you are best dividing your income that way?

I've been considering getting a smaller on ear pair of bluetooth headphones like the one you use to work out to replace my bluetooth earbuds. Maybe it's just me, but I really find most headphones get really warm on my head after an hour to hour 1/2 or so, and I listen to a whole lot of podcasts and audiobooks. Even just the headphones for my phone at work tends to be too hot to wear all day and that's just for a single ear.
