if you could choose only one, would you want to be hella rich young or hella rich old?

i feel i would probably have more use for the money now than when i am older. I see it this way, when i get old, i'll be OLD, so why would i need hella money other than to pay for health insurance?

EDIT: if you choose rich young, you lose your fortune after you hit err... the age of 35

Depends how rich and how young. If I was like 8 years old, I'd probably waste it without regard for my future. If like in mid- teens and up, I'd probably have the sense to invest most of the money for the future. In any case, I'd splurdge a portion of the $$$.

Young, buy a house, give some to family, put some in bank for bills, put some in different bank for bills. Hide some in house for games. The rest is the emergency fund.

young... after 35 is still enough time to work up enough money to pay for health care, even though you do need hella money to pay for health care if things go wrong when you're old

vader993 goes to see what the word hella means

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hella_%28word%29

Hella is a slang intensifier word associated with Northern California and the Pacific Northwest, and used in the United States and Canada. It is a contraction of the phrase "hell of a" or "hell of a lot [of]". It often appears in place of the words "really", "a lot", "totally", "very", and, in some cases, "yes". Whereas hell of a is generally used with a noun, according to linguist Pamela Munro, hella is primarily used to modify an adjective such as "good."[1] [2]
