Help, my friend is a racist.

So, today after English class, I was walking to weight lifting, and then one of my friends (not a good friend, but we're cool) comes up and says hey dude, and I'm like "Hey, Larry". And then as a joke I said, "Can I call you lars?(lol)"

"no, that name sucks"

"why"

"because it's a mexican name"

"No it's not (I think of Lars from rocket power) Oh wait, it is, so what?"

"I hate Mexicans"

"Why?"

"Mexicans robbed my house"

"no, a few idiots who were mexicans robbed your house"

and then he walked off, plain faced like that was a totally normal thing to think... what a conversation.

Why is this arrogance still around? Do any of you guys know anyone like this?

please note i said he was wrong to hate all mexicans and i am pc most of the time (we'll call it one of my many character flaws) but if you spend all your time being as such you never get to just live and be yourself i dont always say what i wish and i do tiptoe around peoples feelings a lot and at the same time i try to get what im feeling across without being too hurtfull
