Help my PC is messed up.

I just reformatted my PC. Now it keeps asking me to insert a Windows XP professional CD 2.

I don't have that Cd because the operating system came with the computer.

AlsoI can't open my "add or remove programs list" and when i press shut down in the start menu it won't shut down. I think it might shut down that way when it overheats in 20 years. HELP ME !!!!!!!

What the hell? There's a second WinXP Pro CD? I never used one.

If the operating system came with the computer, the install discs for it should also have come with the computer. If you're missing a disc you should contact the store where you bought the computer.

First a foremost, sorry for the crappy post, I'm tired from a long night.

Sounds like you didn't format the computer right.

From what I read, you don't have the OS disks. From that you wouldn't have been able to install windows after you formated the drive, but you still have acess to windows. If you did format, then you shouldn't be able to get back into windows.

Either way, just get any XP Pro OS disks and put it in. Boot from drive and then you should get a couple options, look for the install OS or something like that. It will ask you if you want to reformat, then say yes and format all the drives you can, then install. It'll ask you for your registration key which is on a sticker somewhere on the side of the computer case if you bought it from a company like Dell, Compaq, Gateway, etc.
