I find it shocking how many people could just walk past and ignore him. I mean, even if they thought if he was just homeless or passed out from alcohol, the guy who shook him and saw the blood shouldn't have left...

Yeah we had a rather interesting discussion on this article recently. My conclusion was that most of the people assumed he was drunk, or a homeless guy just sleeping. It's forgiveable to think like that in any major city, and it would be ridiculous to stop for every person lying down. You can encounter several people in such a state on a very short walk in your average day. The pool of blood may not have been noticeable either, so they only guy who was probably likely to be in the wrong was the guy who actually checked him.

EDIT: and taking a picture was also totally wrong. But I was just making the point that probably not all of them are bad people. Shame on the ones who are.
