[QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="-Karayan-"][QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="GreatDecay"][QUOTE="OneShot112"]The lyrics do sound like it came from a 15 year old, possibly younger. What a crappy song

I agree. I seriously can't see how peple can use the term "rap artist." There's no art to it. Anyone can write these crapy lyrics. Does your chain hang low...please.
While I agree this song sucks, There is art to rap, Its just not mainstream.
Rap is finger paint.
Its obvious youve probably only heard 50 cent songs and this chain hang low song.
No, I've listened to every song recommended to me by people who claim to listen to the "real" or "underground" rap.
Well, it just seems like you dont like the genre, and just because you dont like a genre doesnt mean its any less than another genre.
wish you would have told me it was rap...so i could avoid ithttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aMxgFDmyEsY

It is primitive and repetitive, but so is practically all popular music.
I wouldn't really call it art in comparison with actual good music.[QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="-Karayan-"][QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="-Karayan-"][QUOTE="way2funny"][QUOTE="GreatDecay"][QUOTE="OneShot112"]The lyrics do sound like it came from a 15 year old, possibly younger. What a crappy song

Like I said that, your just generalizing a genre. Good music is an opinion, some people will like a certain song / genre, others wont. Its as simple as that.

All rap songs I've heard are so.
And music being "good" goes beyond simply liking it.

Well you dont like it, that doesnt mean there isnt a rap song out there that you may like, or a rap song that will be released that you will like. You cant just generalize a whole genre.

How is it generalization? I'm not basing my views on one song or just a few songs, but on a wide variety of rap songs.

Generalization is characterizing something as a whole without looking at every rap song. If you said lots of rap songs are primitive and repetative, I would have agreed, but calling rap primitive and repatitive is just an untrue generalization.
