Just something I wanted to know from anAtheist's point of view...

Perhaps God will allow people's spirits to wander the Earth from time to time, like a vacation. Nobody knows what the rules are in Heaven. :P

It's unlikely that they exist. The human mind can be manipulated very easily with emotions. If you spend a night in a house that's supposedly haunted, you probably will say that you heard strange noises or that you felt a cold prescense. That's your mind playing tricks on you. If you convince yourself that you'll feel something, you will feel it.

To play Devil's Advocate (I don't really believe in ghosts), could the reverse also be true, where you're expecting nothing and felt nothing even if something happened to be there?

If we can see them, then they are reflecting or producing light.

As long as we are using a camera that is sensitive to those same wavelengths of light, then it'd show up on memory card/film.

I agree with this, and I'm not an Atheist. Also, it has been proven that there are Electrical Fields within certain old houses, most prevalent in "Haunted" Houses actually. These fields can conjure Images within our minds.
