If that photo is for the pledge of alligiance, then who cares, it's just a damn flag, national anthem, who cares, it's just a songmattttherman3

It's for the national anthem. You'd think a man running for president of the United States of America would have a little more respect for the country than that.
"THATS" our next president, lol.

What do you think about him? I think he is a extremely lefist and even a communist.

Been watching Fox News much?

Certainly, Obama is liberal, but he is not as extreme as people think. I'm an ardent Obama supporter, personally, and I think he will be an excellent president (else, I would not have voted for him both in the primaries and the general election).

For the record, Obama is not a communist, nor is he a socialist.

It's for the National Anthem. Protocol describes putting your hand over your heart.

I go to a lot of sporting events and I swear at least 30% of the people there don't put their hand over their heart.

Yeah because holding your hand over your heart is some how a sign for more respect.. Lol what crap is this, that is closer to fascist thought rather then rational thought.. BTW it is not a requirement to do that for the national anthem, that only really started in the pledge of alligance.

I am.. And I show my alliagance by following the laws, paying my taxes, voting etc etc.. Putting your hand over your heart for a song is the lowest common denominator of things.. This is fascist thought plain and SIMPLE. If anything the fact he is criticized for this is UNAMERICAN... How bout you guys criticize the fellow for his policies, political career etc etc.. Not if he has a flag pin or puts his hand over his heart during the national anthem.. Seriously this is priceless, and you wonder why McCain loss by so much electorally lol..

I didn't support him or McCain during the election but I'm willing to give him a chance, especially considering he hasn't even taken office yet. And yeah, he's not even remotely close to a Communist... >____>

Uh, well, I completely disagree with you, and I really like him a lot.

That's why I voted for him.

Thank you, I'm tired of people saying someone who wishes not hold their hand over their heart is un-american. In my opinion, the most un-American thing someone can do is CALL someone else un-american. It is a free country, it isn't a law to put your hand over you heart, it isn't a law to even acknowledge the pledge or the anthem. I understand some people's arguement that it's done out of respect, well you are missing the bigger picture here. People fought and died for freedom, and fairness. This country was built on it. Every time there is an excuse to call someone un-American, America becomes more divided, and believe me, that's much much worse than placing your hands by your side.
