In developed countries it is not over all income that determines the quality of it's life of the people but it's income income inequality. This is a fact.

http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/en/richard_wilkinson.html

Health, number of people in prison, lifespan, social mobility, highschool graduation rates, homicide, and many other things.

If you want to live the american dream, go to Denmank.

It doesn't matter if this income equality comes from taxes or just smaller differences in pay.

This really shouldn't be surprising to anybody. Of course a country that has a small number of super rich people and a large number of poor people is going to have some unrest.

I disagree. There will always be the haves, and the have nots. Any attempt to do anything about it causes more damage than it fixes.

You are wrong. This isn't something that you can argue on a theoretical level because in the real world the numbers say that you are wrong. This is a fact.

No..... Total economic welfare is decreased through economic transfers (which is usually the "fix" for income inequality)

Tax increases hurt those who are affected by it. It also disenfranchises them. That's the fix for income inequality by liberals.

No they haven't. The Bush Tax Cuts were never gone. How could they have been lowered again if they didn't expire?

If you're talking about the payroll tax cut, that's chump change compared to the Bush tax cuts.
