She reminds the congress that it was USA that actually funded them at the start, and left Pakistan after winning against Soviet Union without dealing with this.

USA also funded Saddam and Al Queda. Who do you think taught them how to set up road side and car bombs? The irony of it kills me. America has a long history of supporting dictators and conflict, it's nothing new and it's undeniable. America's army has killed many thousands illegally and they have also illegally invaded the most countries since the end of WW2.

Anybody think it's funny that we gave Al Queda/Afghanistanian rebels weapons 30 years ago to keep the Russians/Soviets out, now Russia is giving the Al Queda/Afghanistanian rebels(or "terrorist") weapons to keep us out? I think it's hilarious.

Lies! Lies and blasphemy! The United States is and always has been a benevolent country that would never adversely interfere in the politics of another country.

/sarcasm.

We've done it all over the world, in fact, from South America to Africa to the Middle East, and there are a lot more brutal people that we've put in a position of power than Osama Bin Laden. More often than not, this tends to come back to bite us in the ass and we tend to end up doing the same thigns to the people we put in power as the ones we outed by doing so, and yet it seems we still haven't learned anything. One of our latest ploys is to support certain candidates in elections to manipulate the results. We've become so unpopular, though, that instead of supporting the candidate we want to win we support the one we want to lose and it turns out to be a political death sentence. Kinda hypocritical when you consider that we say our mission is to spread democracy.

And then they left Pakistan (According to Hilary Clinton) to deal with all the problems USA had left behind. So basically, when USA needed Pakistan it was friendly and as soon as its objective was met, it stranded Pakistan and even imposed sanctions.

Really people, that's all there is to it. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. We were fighting the Russians and so were they. We also funded and helped the Russians in WWII. OMG but we fought against them during the Cold War!!! Yeah...countries/groups don't stay the stagnant as time progresses. We also fought the British in the 1770's...OMG guys we fought them and now they're are ally!!! WTF!?!?!

I guess some people can't use common sense.

Leaving your ally midway, imposing sanctions on it and letting it suffer because what you have done is simply back stabbing.

Not sure about Al Qaeda part, though it seems like a possibility. The Saddam part is true........ And people ask that why do so many people in middle-east dislike USA......

They funded Al Qaeda and Osama Bin Laden to fight against the Russians in Afghanistan.

Since when did everyone start classifying wars and legal and illegal? There is no such thing as a legal war.

Unfortunately the US has a habit of funding the wrong people...then again I don't like politicians for many reasons this is one.

Illegal invasions are part of that, and even then. America has also taken part in the most conflicts anyways

Also, I'm not defending the US, but people need to realize that this is pretty much common place in today's world. Nation's are more than willing to overstep "moral" boundaries in order to secure their national interests.

Relations change faster nowadays than ever before. It's not a secret that U.S. foreign policy in past decades was geared primarily at hindering the USSR at every possible turn, and funding the Taliban in Afghanistan was part of that strategy. After the Iranian Revolution, we funded Saddam Hussein's war against Iran in an effort to keep Iran at bay as well. Now the Cold War isn't at the forefront of foreign policy anymore, so the priorities and interests of all parties involved have changed. Two parties having a mutual foe at one point doesn't guarantee that those parties will be best friends forever.
