If a culture states that it's okay to change history, present it as fact (or "news"), and also pretend that women do not hold high positions in government or society, then I am going to state that those aspects of their culture are wrong.

I'm being hyperbolic here, but in Afghanistan they blow up schools because they don't think girls should get educated. Our culture doesn't do that. Regardless of my bias, that is inherently wrong. Just because it is part of someone's culture doesn't automatically exempt it from criticism.
