Lisen to this song ( skip to like :36 when it starts, unless you want to hear some intro...)
and compare it to a lot of mainstream rap/hip-hop playing now.

[QUOTE="tri-edge99"]WAY better than mainstream. But im not big on that genre.taj7575
did you like it a lil bit?
It was enjoyable.im disappointed..taj7575Everyone has different musical tastes....most people here don't like hip-hop and generally like genres of metal and "core" music.
[QUOTE="a55assin"][QUOTE="taj7575"][QUOTE="a55assin"]I loved it right up until they started "singing". taj7575
:? huh?
I liked the melody...the music. But once the actual rapping began...I had to stop.
ah...
did you atleast try lisening to the lyrics?
I'm not a fan of any kind of hip-hop...so it would't have mattered. And no..I never finished it...the lyrics wouldn't make a difference. And honestly...it sounds the same as all the others to me.

ah the debate :)
Its good so far.
and yeah, when you have time lisen to the lyrics.
I'll listen to it later....too busy listening to Black Moon's debut album.darksword1123
Dah Shinin is better... both are cIassic albums though.
Yeah, that's what it's all about. The lyrics keep it real, it ain't trying to hit the Pop Charts, they're spreading a message. Oh, and to the guys that don't lsiten to Hip-Hop yet felt the need to bash every thread that tries to spread positive Hip-hop out there, don't post it. There's a reason why the thread was titled hip-hop fans.

but thanks for liking it.
I agree but the title got edited half way through.Yeah, that's what it's all about. The lyrics keep it real, it ain't trying to hit the Pop Charts, they're spreading a message. [QUOTE="Orlando_Magic"]It's good... my fave song off that album is I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (Part 2) though.taj7575
whats your fav song by them? for me, it's probably reality check. "i know why the caged bird sings" is also one of my favs from binary.
Well Binary Star only has one official album (they also have Waterworld which is basically all the same songs as Masters of the Universe), so I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings (Part 2) would be my fave song by them.
One Man Army (aka One Be Lo) of Binary Star went solo after Masters of the Universe and dropped some nice music, especially with his album S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.... Deceptacons is my fave song off S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.
Love the beat and the lyrics but their voices are kinda annoying. :P But I did listen to the whole song and enjoyed it.stevenk4k5
thanks. Try lisening to binary star's other songs. I have to agree one be lo's and senim's voices were a little annoying, but the flow and lyrics were great.

SONOGRAM was great, and yeah I liked One Be more than Senim solo, but both combined were great.
and yeah, songs like axis,ET, and deceptacons from SONOGRAM were great
I liked it. It was cool and I find it more enjoyable than what other people listen to on these forums. Makes me want to get the album, what's it called, if there is one?
oh... and Im surprised I havent seen any "that's not music" posts

Excuse me can all the rap/hip hop haters please leave the thread. Anyway I liked it this shows how I feel everytime when I walk down the street or go to school. It true that is all I can say.MgamerBD
Thanks.
oh...and the change of title helped ...a lot. believe me.
Pretty good. The lyrics are well done, but the emcees voices might be a little annoying to a non-hip hop fan. That's why it was some sort of a turn-off for some people in this thread.
I'm glad to see that someone else in this forum actually knows what Hip Hop is...and doesn't listen to all that Young Jeezy,Soulja Boy crap.I'd suggest Ohmega Watts or Cyne for you.

One Be Lo, one of the rappers in Binary Star, actually put the album up on his website available for free download about 4 or 5 years ago.... so I introduced a lot of people on Gamespot and Off the Books (the rap board at Gamespot) to the album since it was free at the time. Since then the album has gained kind of a cult following within the hip-hop community and received a lot of acclaim, but back then when it first came out it was relatively unknown...
This is pretty good. Then again I don't really know much good hip-hop. I just got into all this. I listen to some indie rap and some other kinds but its pretty good.flathead123
the thing was...going into 11th grade....i really needed some good music lol.
I love lisening to music and lyrics while relaxing or studying, so I just searched and searched for some good music, and I found it.
I really cant feel the "cocky" music. A lot of people, actually probably all, love the gangster, cocky rap, which I cant stand.
Atleast they don't touch my zune nowadays, because "yo man how can you not have any lil wayne on this? "
