Christ, I swear I've been seeing previews for that **** for at least a year now, as if they think a bad preview will get better if you see it a ****ing million times. Well, it actually gets worse. The first time I saw the preview I thought, "Hm, that looks like a lame ****in' movie. I probably won't see it".
But now, every time I see a preview for it, I can't help but talk **** about the movie, which is a shame, cause for all I know, it's a decent movie. But I've gone from the point of being more or less indifferent to the film to mindfully avoiding it, just because of a terrible marketing campaign.
Just saw the trailer and i have to agree with R-Dot, that whole "curve" the bullet thing looked cheap as hell :?, any movie that trusts on cheap "stunts" like that cant be good.TanKLoveR
Matrix stopped bullets, and it was awesome so that's kinda a stupid thing to go by
The commercials looked so stupid, it was dissapointing to see Morgan Freeman in such a movie. It just looked so... generic and bland. idkDivergeUnifyno dude he even droped the f bomb it was awesome.
Dude the movie was crazy i don't want to ruin any thing, Buuut at one point the main character jumps though a window and kills like fifty people (he grabs more guns as he goes along) then he shoots this guy in the eye and starts shooting people though the hole in his head and every one (in the theater) was like "holy crap that just happend!"
oh my god the only thing i can say was its not super realistic it does bend reality from time to time
No movie in which they "curve" the bullet once fired from the gun, is a good movie...
Wanted looks like garbage. and the 72% on RT worries me and shifts my opinion on humanity as a species...

Wow. A movie getting decent reviews that you base off as being bad from one clip causes you to shift your opinion on humanity?
Talk about ignorant.
Also a bullet can curve over LONG distances... Ever here of gyroscopic drift? Too bad the next movie that incorporates that will be bad according to you.

yeah most good movies don't really break the fundamental laws of physics for a cheap gimmick

actually they say its the most original and stylish action film since The Matrix.
I'll see it, but I've heard some pretty convincing bad reviews.
Wall-E comes first.

Any it is meant to be a stylish hig octane action film, yeah a weird concept but that never means a bad movie and most should know this, and even more so most shouldnt judge off of trailers and clips alone. Its going to be kick ass and Im in for an action movie. Of course its going to be just a crazy action movie but that never makes it bad.
I saw it last night and I really liked it. I thought the story was pretty well done and even if you don't like the story the character development was done very well. The only thing is that you have to be able to go in there expecting a movie that is complete BS. If you go into the theatre saying "That's stupid. That would never work." or have any of that attitude your not gonna like it. You gotta accept that almost nothing they do is physically possible but is cool to see.
And to the people who said that the story looked stupid from the previews they did a really good job of keeping the heart of the story out of the previews. Even if some of it was a little cliche they did at the very least catch me off guard.
I love all the people who are saying it looks unrealisitic...that's the point. It's over the top, and according to all the good reviews on Rt, it's awesome.
I can't wait to see it. It looks like Shoot 'Em Up with a budget and less vegetable violence.
Wanted is an excellent action movie. It has all the elements of a good action movie and none of the elements of a bad one. (No generic love story tacked on for no reason). It sets a new standard. When the movie is over, your first urge will be to buy another ticket and watch it again, right then and there. If you like action movies, you have to see this movie; it's that simple.
On a side note: Calling an action movie bad because of stunts and unrealism is pretty stupid. If you're one of those people that don't bother with reviews anymore and just follow the number stamped on RT like a mindless drone, 73% is a nice score. Most action movies get slapped with a 34% for being "completely brainless" or something.
I know this isn't like music or video games where you can really sample it before you commit (Movie tickets are expensive). But, I'll say it again, if you enjoy action movies to any degree, You. Will. Love. This. Movie.
Go see it.

Yes, for that type of movie a 73 is a damn good score, I wsa suprised, because it is an over the top action film and although that doesnt make it bad it does usually mean the critics hate it, unless its stylish and unique, like the Matrix, which seems to be the reason it is getting so much praise.
Yes, Wanted is very stylish and very unique. It's the kind of move where if you go with a group of friends each one will have a different favorite part. If you go in packed theatre, they will erupt in applause and laughter many times before the film is over. It's exciting from beginning to end; there is no boring slump in the middle, the plot actually makes sense the first time around, and the main character is a likable human being with a personality, not a cardboard cutout (cough*matrix*cough).
Like a said, it sets a new standard.
