NO. All it does is making your whole life about school. It takes your time to get involved in some kind of hobby, which is essential as a growing experience.
And i never do Homework. And i manage myself to get good grades on most classes. Strange, eh?
[QUOTE="bloodling"][QUOTE="Thorpe89"]Still, I disagree with homework.Blitz_Nemesis
I see. You think that we should practice exercices in-class maybe? I think that's a waste of time for the teacher.
not really. if a student needs help or has a question about the in-class work they can ask the teacher for assistance but when they have trouble with homework all they can is ask their parents who probably dont know how to help them.Homework isn't for learning, it's for practicing. If you want to learn, you usally study, not ask the teacher. I never ask questions to the teacher.
No. Homework is definetly not needed. It shouldn't exist.Thiago26792
That's true when you're 15, but not later on.
I like how homework is done in some of my college classes (math and accounting mainly).
The professors assign homework that is not graded. Understand it in class perfectly? Great! No homework for you!
Sorta understand it but need some practice? Great! There's homework that can help you! If you don't undertand, attempt the problems and ask in class!
Then there are freshman, silly silly freshman. They don't understand the material and still don't do the homework! They get a big fat F! (OK I just like to pick on freshmen, upper classmen do it too)
Hoemwork is practice it helps you get better. The teachers see weather or no you understand. I love homework. Suliman-Uchia
I can tell that u do ur english homework all wrong...lol.
Homework, for the most part is pointless and a waste of time. Teachers claim it is used to reinforce knowledge learned in class, but isn't that the responsibility of the student? It's ironic many claim homework is to discipline a student to be responsible aswell, but wouldn't leaving the duty to study a subject that they do not understand teaching responsibility moreso? All homework does is waste the time of students who already understand the material. And considering many students have a job and/or do extracirricular activities, that time can be of much value.

Sure, when the teacher actually checks your homework.

Kids simply wouldn't do any homework if that was the case, and more students would fail. I agree that it doesn't give much sense of responsability to the student, but at least they get used to doing homework.
Sounds like a lot of you had long and painful useless homework. Hopefully my homework wasn't graded except for important stuff.
