Honestly, people need to get with the times.

Today on youtube I saw a video on how some suburban neighborhood in China gets their meat, by slaughtering it personally while the animal was still alive itself, and on the comments all I see is "Omg!! wtf chinese people are stupid and retarded" or "WTF? how can they do this stuff???"

and honestly I wish I could just slap everyone one of those ignorant posters, I mean they're just all idiots and hypocrites as I imagine them telling themselves "Oh lord this is terrible" than hours later they go on eating at macdonalds.

well, no duh. that's how you eat everything on your plate. you cant wait for a cow to die by itself before it would get exported. you'd have to kill it, processing, etc. then you export the meat. animal slaughter or whatever you call it, it's not animal crulety. it's just the way it is.

What makes it more civilized? The fact that "you" don't have to do it? Considering the way that animals are treated at slaughter houses here in the US, I'm not exactly convinced that we are more civilized.

And driving a gas-guzzling SUV is more "civilised" than walking or riding a bike. 

Who says that being civilised is necesarily a good thing? Have you ever considered that most of our environmental problems (many would say environmental CRISES) are a direct result of becoming more civilised.

The sad thing about being "civilized" is that civilized people have a tendency to think of themselves as being apart from nature, which in their mind gives them the right to rape nature with no sense of responsibility, respect, or consequence. 

So you've figured out that there is ignorant people on the internet, this really shouldn't come as a shock.
