Honestly..is anybody else feeling scared...

All im hearing now is talk of the possible end of the world. I was in line at the bank and i heard two old guys talkin about how bad times were and its the sign that the world is about to end.

It was a subject in school about obama being the antichrist..and now i see post about it here and a large number of youtube videos on everything and people talking about it on msn involving 2012...is anybody else feeling abit scared in the least..I do beleive in god but at the same time..im feeling like i dont even want to continue on with trying to live out my dreams or anything if its all going to end so soon and so quickly...

Am i overreacting or should i be scared? :(

I don't understand why you would be scared? The times aren't that bad. Think about back to the 1930's.. they had the depression.. not just the U.S., but the world, then right after that they had WWII.. I think that was a hell of a lot worse than our little tiny economic decline today and our little war in iraq.The_Mac_Daddy

What scriptures? I've read no scriptures like that. And if they do exist, I'm pretty sure it would be very vague and you can interpret it to explain many different time periods.

And even if the world does end in 2012, there is nothing we can do about it.. if you are going down, so is everybody else.

Also don't give up on your dreams. We never know when the world may end. It might end in 2032,2022, no one knows. Scientists can try to predict all they can but they will never be right.

I've always thought that the world itself isn't getting worse, just our perception of it is. We now have media outlets that can tell us every atrocity and can inject fear in our minds about anything.

In 1900 there were 1,650,000,000 people in the world. Now, in 2008 there is 6,848,000,000 people in the world. Obviously, the more people there are the more crimes are going to be committed. It's not necessarily that people are getting worse, it's just that we're getting more of them. Simple math.

Just gotta look at everything a little closer...

Its a ged prep school to those who are asking and we were just on a random subject of everything going on with russia and religion, just casual talking and some girl spoke up saying her aunt thought obama was the antichrist and she didnt trust him at all because he seemed to good to be true. everyone also kept saying they had a bad feeling something was going to happen soon and while i didnt say anything, it just made me really fearful.

We all die, so even if you had 100 years to live, it all ends one days and all your dreams with it.

It doesn't matter if we all die in 2012, or tomorrow, or in 50 years, live your life how you want and live it now.

Don't waste it and think about "What if" in a few years.

But seriously, every minute you spend worrying about the future is a minute you take away from the present. If you honestly believe you're going to die soon, shouldn't you be spending every day with no regrets?
