You had classes at high school on building PC's? That's pretty cool. To answer TC, yes, you can use the internet to learn to build a PC, it's not as complex as it may sound, you're just connecting components together. Just search "building a PC" into google and you'll have all the info you need. Just make sure that once you get to the stage of buying hardware that you ask around forums to make sure you're getting the biggest bang for your buck.

I'm pretty sure off-topic is the wrong place to post this what with the forums own category for this stuff. As for compatibility and PC building the internet is a big place you can find almost anything you want there. Google around for PC building guides for newcomers and you'll find a lot of help. I built my first PC in April solely through internet information.

This should be in the PC hardware forum.

On topic - It's really not very difficult.

I learned how to build a computer by way of taking apart computers. All of the computer classes I took after taught information I had already known instinctively.

Step One. Log into Gamespot Step Two: Go to PC Hardware Discussion Forums (Not OT) Step Three: Tell the people at PC Hardware Discussion Forums (Not OT) That you want to build a Computer and your Budget is _______ (Fill in the Blank) Step Five: They give you links to most likely newegg.com of all the parts you need to buy. Step Six: Order the Parts and Ship them to your home (or Mine whichever you prefer) Step Seven: Assemble Step Eight: ??? Step Nine: Profit
