The same way you get girls if you're 6'5.MochycThen it's agreed

But if it's a preference wouldn't you be willing to budge if the circumstance is right? If not, I'd consider that as a requirement.[QUOTE="RVP11"][QUOTE="ice144"] A girl having preferences = being shallow? I know for a fact most guys would have an issue dating a female thats 7 feet tall.UltimoIce
So you are saying if some 50 year old 500 lb chick wanted to get to know you, you would give it a shot based on the fact that you don't want to be "one of those shallow people"? Or a man for that matter?
Nothing wrong with having preferences. Ignoring preferences will end badly.
I hate super extreme examples that never prove anything...Well it shouldn't be too har...

Women will take just about any shortcoming in a man, except in the height department, according to Andrea McGinty, who founded the San Diego-based dating service It's Just Lunch.
McGinty helped ABCNEWS put together an experiment to test just how willing women are to date shorter men. We brought together several short men and asked them to stand next to taller men. We invited groups of women to look at the men and choose a date.
To see if the women would go for short guys who were successful, ABCNEWS' Lynn Sherr created extraordinary résumés for the shorter men. She told the women that the shorter men included a doctor, a best-selling author, a champion skier, a venture capitalist who'd made millions by the age of 25.
Nothing worked. The women always chose the tall men. Sherr asked whether there'd be anything she could say that would make the shortest of the men, who was 5 feet, irresistible. One of the women replied, "Maybe the only thing you could say is that the other four are murderers." Another backed her up, saying that had the taller men had a criminal record she might have been swayed to choose a shorter man. Another said she'd have considered the shorter men, if the taller men had been described as "child molesters."
The desire for tall men begins very young, apparently. ABCNEWS gave elementary school students a test, asking them to match a small, medium or large figure of a man with a series of words. The kids overwhelmingly linked the tall figure to the words strong, handsome and smart. The linked the short figure to the words sad, scared and weak. More than half of the kids also chose to link the short figure to the words, dumb, yucky and no friends.

Goddamn it lol.
Your insecurity about your height and the lack of confidence it causes will go a lot further towards preventing you from meeting a girl than your height itself will.
Confidence goes a long way in general life and not just relationships. Why take that away from yourself by being upset about a physical trait that you cant even change anyway?
just like any other guy i guess,
except for the fact we tend to get overshadowed by the taller guys, i myself am 5'4 and i'm 24:?

Find a girl that likes you for who you are, not just your height. Some girls even prefer shorter guys. Personally, I'd give up a tall guy for a genuinely great one anyday.
You know I wish that more girls shared that sentiment. I'm 5'3 or 5'3 1/2, depending on the time of the day and it's really hard.Find a girl that likes you for who you are, not just your height. One thing that I've noticed ove rthe years is the many of the most famous and briliant male entertainers (rcok stars, etc.) seem to be on the short side. Yet, the ladies still find them attractive. Despite what shallow people may tell you, size does not matter. I'm 5' 9", and I still can't meet any girls who seem interested in me. Personality is a lot more important than height. If you meet girls who will only date guys who are a certain height, you're better off without them. They're shallow and ignorant people anyway.
[QUOTE="Suzy_Q_Kazoo"]You know I wish that more girls shared that sentiment. I'm 5'3 or 5'3 1/2, depending on the time of the day and it's really hard. Taller guys are portrayed as more sheltering and manly, I think, so girls tend to flock towards them. I think it's hard to find a really good guy that's compatible with me though, so I'm not picky about that sort of thing; as I hope someone wouldn't be with me :PFind a girl that likes you for who you are, not just your height. I'm 5'7 and my gf is 5'11 or something like that. I usually get by mainly by standing on boxes or stools or if desperate enough, my tipy toes. As you can see I'm being sarcastic.
Having low confidence will keep you single much longer than being short ever would. To be blunt, get over it.
Honestly, being short is a huge shortcoming (no pun intended). You will get blown off immediately due to your height, especially in bars/clubs. The only short guys I've seen with cute/hot girls are celebrities or dudes with ridiculous amounts of cash. Girls feel protected by a man's height, plus the entertainment industry has brainwashed women into thinking "tall, dark, and handsome." But you can compensate for this by getting rich or famous! Good luck!
P.S. I'm 5'6" and attractive, and I have been told to my face that I'm too short so I know what you're feeling.

Meh, people can say what they will but I have learned not to take what women "claim" what they are willing to go for or even PREFER seriously when talking to us guys.
No offense to Suzy (because for all I know you ARE telling the truth), but after witnessing first hand how women lie about these things, a girl can freaking PROVE such a statement with her actions before I am going to take much stock in it.
I have had too many cases where women just weren't honest about crap like that. I wish more girls would be more blunt about crap rather than stringing along guys and giving them false hopes because they are too sissy to hurt the guys feelings a little by letting him no he doesn't have a chance.
Oh and thanks for that article on the height BS. I have even been told by a female friend of mine that she thinks my height is the one major thing keeping me from getting a girl. I am 5'4 at 21 and now that I am at a point where I have confidence, it is just amazing to me how I can still get blown off by women despite constantly being called a great, nice guy and even getting called cute quite often.
Personality really doesn't mean **** in dating despite what people say. I have made girls laugh and laugh and am always a gentleman and still have yet to have a relationship.
Oh and none of this is to say guys can't be shallow or anything. We just happen to be shallow about looks rather than height and even then, I have not known guys to be NEARLY as ridiculous with their standards as girls.
LostProphetFLCLNo offense taken, I can see where you're coming from. People can be shallow in general at times, but everyone has different tastes; some of which aren't always always dependent on physicalities. I'm thinking you've just had some bad experiences in the past, and you're linking it towards your height. Personality does matter, but so does physical attraction as well. Relationships in general can be convoluted and misinterpreted, sometimes it's hard to see what the problem is. I still stand by what I've said though :P
Go after really really short girls lol Im 5 6, only 1 inch taller then you, and I'm 21. There are a lot of shorter girls out there...5 3 is the best hieght for girlsGTA_dude
You know I'm 6' and I actually agree. I'm more attracted to shorter girls than I am to taller girls and my girl happens to be 5' 3" :P
My boyfriend is 5'3 and I'm 5'4 and I don't find it wierd.
You've just gotta find a girl who isn't so shallow. And there is plenty of them around :)
