[QUOTE="SolidSnake35"][QUOTE="Dark__Link"]And in case they don't? You want to leave that to chance?SolidSnake35

That chance isn't worth having a gun for. It's a gun. Guns aren't for civilians.

So... you'd rather risk death and/or having your valuables stolen... than buy a gun (provided you could)? And yes, guns are for civilians, too. What kind of garbage does the British government shove down your throats that would make you feel otherwise?

I'm not risking anything by not having a gun. A house alarm is sufficient for warding off any would be burglars. And no, guns aren't for civilians. The British government is aware of that simple fact, and gun crime is lower here because of it.

here in michigan, usa, gun deaths have gone down with more concealed weapons permits

I used a gun to defend my property once. Shot the guy in the shoulder before he went turned and dove out the window. He never saw me, but it doesn't matter because of the Castle Doctrine. The way I see it, I didn't make the decision to be put in that situation, he did. He got what he had coming to him. Same guy broke into a ladies house a few weeks later and she shot him to death. No loss of sleep here. I also used a gun to fend off a carjacker...didn't fire it that time but I did put it on the end of his nose and asked him to stab me.

Woohoo for living in fear. I live in a town where there hasn't been a murder in over 20 years...and the murderer was from the US...and the victim was his girlfriend. Not much of a reason for locking up.

Correlation is not causality. :|
