Sep 4, 2004 and im Level 23.
Im still yet to see any benefits to leveling at all...

umm...they have just posted more times than you. Maybe you have been moderated more than them too. Sometimes moderations deplete your points. Why do u care anyway? Do you think people think more of you from having more points? Ive never seen someone with a really high level and been like whoa that guy must be so cool!!!

It's a curse of addiction that afflicts us... makes it so that we don't even try and yet continue to come and spend more and more time here. That's mostly what it is... though some people are more addicted than others.

How come everyone who has a rank on gamespot at around 30-40, has been using this site for less than me. Ive been using it since 2004, and ive only got 28 or 29, or somethin like that, and its not like i took long breaks, ive used it almost constantly. I can understand that sending more posts, and blogging e.t.c. can make your rank higher, but by 10 levels?!?! its unjust.
P.S. I dont actually care how high my rank is, its just unsual, maybe a glitch, i dont know, it is why im asking you.

Do you come here more than once a week? Once a month, year? If not, there is your answer. Sometimes if you've been moderated, you could have had the consequence of having a level removed. It's not a glitch. A lot of people are on here more than 8 hours.

I also got limited for moderations, I think GS really needs an "over 18" forum where we can call eachother bad names and use naughty words etc,etc. The TOS here is making me stop posting here.

Because there is a max % of points you can get per day, the higher the level the smaller the amount... but it's basically 4-6%.

You need to watch reviews, read reviews, make posts, blogs etc. to gain the %, it isn't like other sites were you basically get your karma by just logging on (I think gamefaqs is like that, that's maybe more fair as a guy who has been around since 2004 would have a higher level than someone who's been around since 2006 just spends more time on the site, i suppose)

I joined in May 2006 and yeah. A lot of people who joined after me are at much higher levels than me. >_> I'd say, it's people who are obsessed with Gamespot and don't visit too many other sites. I have a lot of sites that I like to go to, and I try to balance my time between all of them. For Gamespot addicts, well...
