Since we know that there was a beginning of life and that it didnt always exist, isnt it logical to believe that someone created it? I am really curious to know whether it's possible for life to have been orignated itself with all the basic structures of sex, excretion etc?

i don't like how we label it "someone", i like to refer to to it as "it", whatever created our universe, no one knows what "it" is

When life first began it was nothing more then a few strains of RNA. Sex and other parts of life came much later due to evolution.

First, stars exploded, creating the elements and basic amino acids. Then, these amino acids slammed into the earth and created peptides (adv amino acids). Then crystal formations on ice arranged these peptides to create RNA, the precursor to DNA...

I learned all of that stuff in biology last year, but it was taught to me in french, my native language, and so I can't really explain it clearly to you. So I will borrow Wikipedia's words:

Oparin argued that a "primeval soup" of organic molecules could be created in an oxygen-less atmosphere through the action of sunlight. These would combine in ever-more complex fashions until they formed coacervate droplets. These droplets would "grow" by fusion with other droplets, and "reproduce" through fission into daughter droplets, and so have a primitive metabolism in which those factors which promote "cell integrity" survive, those that do not become extinct. Many modern theories of the origin of life still take Oparin's ideas as a starting point.

Oparin is a scientist, by the way :P

The life populated was small and it needed an ecosystem, I say it "needed" it was just a reaction to the atmosphere and environment. Life grew from simple cells with nuclei and reproductive bits (plagheia? spulling?) and co-mingled in communities to form a purpose-serving collection of cells, dictated by nuclei and the surroundings, that grew over time, evolving in a way that lets they absorb light to fuel the organism. Plants. The first animal cells mutated and found a home in the sea while plants spread across the land thanks to the wind. Plants were later helped by animals eating their fruit and spreading the seeds in fresh manure so they had a better chance to grow. Somewhere along the long line of evolution, many extinct species, humans appeared andthanks to their knoweldge of tools, ability to imagine and reason and awareness of self they have developed: Soulja boy the game.

Okay, that makes sense.

But where and how did the primordial soup come about? Was it always there?

let me answer you by telling the broader story , to tell the big picture.

out solar system was created by the remains of a star that had previously supernova'd.. stars and planets are created when the gasses and particles collide into eachother , creating bigger and bigger pieces ( think a ball of lint or packing play dough toghether) as the particles become bigger and bigger, their gravity becomes bigger as well, thus making even more things collide with it..

the center of gravity of our solar system obviously is the sun, this collected the most particles, and at a certain mass, the gasses ignite ( into a star) if you know how temperature works this makes sence, higher temperatures occur when air is more tightly packed. for example if jupiter was actually a bit bigger it would become a star...

so what did not collide to become the sun created the inner planets, the rock planets, and the gasses that didnt get to the middle far away became the gas giants in the outer solar system.

the earth started out as a big fiery ball. ever cooling ( still cooling today) what brought water and the other gasses were asteroids comets, and metiorites..comets and metiorsare thought to have brought all of the water that is on earth.. over time.. otherwise water couldnt just appear on a giant burning rock. so as water molecules slowly but surely came to the earth, atmosphere and other things formed.. now the " primordial soup " is the magma and water and all this other much that was on early earth.. extremely primative forms of molecules started forming.. and over mutations started evolving.. as the video shows.. until mutation after mutation started building more complex beings.

hope this helped bro.

well, if you are an atheist, you believe in magic and the possibilty that complex things can literally pop into existence, much like Globins and lamps that grant wishes. If you are a religious person, you once again believe in magic, but that a mystical force either always existed or suddenly popped into existence and then created everything else.

both are pretty flawed, and you'll end up believing in magical faries in some way shape or form >.> The real answer is that Chuck Norris went back in time and created everything. He is actually an evil robot from the future. Chuck Norris IS the universe, common knowledge that Hawkings already proved that back in the mid 80s.

I just read somethign about thisa the other day actually. Quite a few scientists believe that the first starnds of life didn't actually begin with DNA but RNA which is much simpler than DNA. Recently studies have found that a specific type of RNA can actually reproduce by itself but it is thought that it is still much to complicated to have formed on it's own from non-biological sources. They are currently trying to find smaller strands of RNA that can reproduce.

As far as we are concerned at the moment, abiogenesis.

It is more logical to assume life formed naturally given the evidence. It is far less logical to assume some thing "made" it.

Wrong. Evolution does not explain the origin of life... only how it changed in terms of populations over time to adapt to its environment.

Why is that logical? Theres not always a reason behind everything and, to me anyway, a God seems like the most illogical explanation for life.

Nope... not at all.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis

Until either new evidence comes along or someone comes up with a better explanation for the current evidence... abiogenesis is the most reasonable explanation for the origin of life on Earth that we have right now.

So Jesus travelled back in time 4000 years and started life, then travelled forward in time to be crucified for humanities sins?
