Randomly put videogames.com into the address bar...well this was back when GS was indeed videogames.com, so you can still type that in and get redirected to GS today.ff7fan2
Haha dude that's EXACTLY how I found Gamespot. Back in 2001 I think, (my username is fairly new)I wanted to buy a game but I wanted to know what was good so I said **** it and I typed in videogames.com and I've been following Gamespot ever since.
I followed Samwel X when he wasn't looking. >_>
In reality I was forced here by the great Gamefaqs merger of 2005. I pretty much ignored the place for most of the first year, but eventually I found my way here out of boredom and started poking around at the site and decided I rather liked the way it was set up and I've been posting sumo pictures ever since.
It all started when I was born.
When I was 7 years old I went to the elementary school. Two years after that, a boy came in our school and after sometime we became best friends. One day I went to sleep over and his brother was watching Smackdown in his TV.
I liked the show and bought a magazine which had to do with wrestling...that magazine was sugesting the readers to watch some related videos on youtube! So right that instant I open my pc and visit the site. As I watched some videos though I was watching a video about video games and stuff. While I was reading the comments someone wrote that if anyone wanted cheats for videogames, they should go to Gamefaqs!! Well I went to gamefaqs to see if there were any cheats for Metroid Prime, but when the results of my search were displayed, there was also Metroid Prime 2 there and, to my surprise, Metroid Prime 3!!
I didn't know metroid prime 3 was out for Gamecube, so I searched for "metroid prime 3:corruption" in the site. As I looked more carefully it wasn't published for the gamecube but for the "Wii".I didn't know what that strange "wii" thing was so I googled it. Some results were pointing at this site!! I visited gamespot to learn about the wii and enter the forums. I enjoyed spenting some time here and after some days I entered other boards. I entered system wars, General discussion and then there was it...
"OT" shined in front of me and I click on it. I tried to sign up but I didn't know I didn't need to pay to sign up, so I just watched conversations and stuff..
After some years I found out that I could be a member without aying and I became a member here, in gamespot.
That is my story... I recognise now that I was born for this sole purpose: To visit OT.
It still brings tears into my eyes...
And I will demand a ridiculously high amount of money :P

I would recommend that you wait until you've been picked up for a second season and they can't afford to replace you. :D

Would this change your mind?
Gamespot kidnapped me in the dead of night a few years back. I've been trying to escape ever since.
