Agree. I, personally am a suave type of guy so I asked her politely if it was ok to hold her hand. She said ok and I kissed it all gentleman like. She blushed and kissed me (to my surprise) on the cheek.

Just be yourself, I made the mistake of using "nerd-talk", it's a huge turn-off for girls so avoid that if possible.

Not all of them but most of them. I only know two girls who are as nerdy or more nerdy than me, one is my girlfriend and the other is quite possibly the most awkward eprson I've ever met.Tiefster

In general, it's hard to find anyone that likes to hear that. I have friends that get annoyed with it, I wouldn't get into a heated argument about Star Wars semantics with a date.

I just try to be relaxed, which is hard because I sweat alot and say stupid things when I'm nervous...But I'm sure some girls like that too.

lol last date I went on (pretty much a first date, as she was a REAL quick meet in a club, she was leaving when I met her and got her phone number) she wanted me to go to a terrasse downtown with her, so we went there... she was so boring and passive, we had been sitting there for 5 hours, the 2 last being dead silent, after offering her to do a thousand things to do which she all turned down, I got up, said I was going to the bathroom and just left.

oh ya for sure... but I felt it was going nowhere fast. In fact I thought she was just waiting on her friend, who was also on a date on the other side of the street, to leave...

ends up we've talked again, somehow she believed me when I said I looked her for around the bar/club/terrasse where we were and didn't find her, and she wants us to meet again... Problem is, I live about an hour from downtown (suburd on the other side of town) and she absolutely wants to see me there again... Now I don't really feel like going all the way there for a similar date.

Anyways it's a long story, we've talked over the phone and texted a lot, and it's pretty complicated... she wants somebody simple, but she's far from it, and that's a real turn off for me.

Mine: "So, tell me about where you grew up?" or "do you like dogs or cats better?" or " so whats your favorite kinds of music/movies?"

We didn't talk. I just touched her shoulder, a gesture like that speaks for itself. ;)
