My parents never told me about Santa Claus... they'd just give me a present on Christmas and that was it. I don't even think I knew who he was until I was like 7 or 8.
I go Christmas shopping with my mom so I could pick out the exact gift that I wanted and she happened to by this toy for my nephew...and then Christmas morning came and the toy that she bought happened to be the same exact toy Santa gave him.
I stopped one day and decided to think. I had just realized that i completly believed what i was told so i stopped and started thinking. I was never as dumb or naive again.
I guess I never really did believe in him to much, I always thought the scale of the world was by far to big. Also I didn't have a fireplace at my house, no chimey.
I'm sure when I was really young I believed, but I was never a big believer. I still like Santa, real or not.
I never really had that much belief in it. My 'belief' just went up to the point of if you write a letter to him you end up getting toys however they were always from a family member, didn't really care if he was real or not so long as i got the goods.
I was in first grade, and some chick at the lunch table told us her parents were Santa Claus. Then pretty much everyone else got mad and accused her of lying. I remember going home that day to ask my parents, and they told me the truth. Then I asked them about the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy as well. So I was pretty devastated that day.
