I've been up since 9:00 PM yesterday, it's now 11:34 AM. I want to go to sleep. I didn't drink any energy drinks or have any caffiene at all yesterday, my mind and body just won't shut down. Anyone can recommend me a method to put myself to sleep?

from the doctor? i have kaiser permanent and they don't offer sleepy pills unless have a good reasonTake a sleeping pill.

Oh, well 14 hours isn't something to worry about. I sometimes stay awake for about 20 hours, others have stayed up longer. I'd suggest staying up the rest of the day and then try to sleep at night, unless you work nights or something.
If you have to sleep now, then sleeping pills may work, but the over-the-counter ones didn't work for me.

"" my chest etc down to your toes, probably a wise idea to skip the crotch tho.
focus on the areas for about ten seconds while thinking the thoughts and keep going then restart, and repeat this over and over. Everytime you start derailing your thought, just immediately go to the next one, and think "Now I am relaxing *body part*" and concentrate on relaxing it.
... Sometimes it helps, sometimes it don't.
i played left 4 dead between 10 pm and 6 amnarutosup:lol: not surprising you can't sleep then, action and bright lights will keep you awak, you should turn off such things well before you want to go to bed.
How are you still up? It's like 2-3 in Aus right now. :oWatch unboxings, thats what does it for me.

Playing Left 4 Dead should put any one to sleep... therefore I conclude you have a serious condition and should seek medical attention.
Barring sex, or the effects of powerful and potentially dangerous drugs, you can't beat simple meditaion. Beyond that, if you want to actually get good sleep on a regular basis, you have to sleep around the same time if you can, not sleep during the day (except brief naps), etc. If you want to pull all-nighters, go for it, but it comes with a cost.
Take a sleeping pill.
Really not that complicated.
do not start taking sleeping pills, its a habot you dont wanna get into excercise throughout the day at some point for atleast 20 mins. also drink a cup of chamomile tea a half hour before bed, its been scientifically proven to help you fall asleep and reduce anxiety1. punch yourself until you faint
2. get a heavy book or a bible slap yourself
3. get a wrench and hit yourself a pan can be use as well (see womens kitchen is good for something atleast)

5 drink warm milk
6. tell your mom to read you a bed time story
7. watch tv until you pass out
8.drink beer until you pass out
9.listen to music

I used to have this problem over turning around in bed all the time.
Stay pure still, Relax you body and keep your eyes closed. If that does't work get some pills
