If you like his music, but hate his personality,

The only people here who have room to talk are the people who know him personally, and I don't so I can't tell you how I feel about him.

On account of the lyrics, yes, they were trashy and obsene. Some were brilliant, most effective, alot overdoing IMO...and there were about 4 tracks I didn't like because of the lyrics alone. However, as a character study into the mind of Mr. West, I found most of the lyrics very interesting. The messages of the songs were mostly amoral, but that's where discretion comes into play. Overall I found most of the lyrics decent, alot over-the-top, but not enough to not listen to the album and appreciate everything else it offers.

i don't know if they're polar opposites, hip hop and electronica share quite a few similar traits. i see what you mean though, both groups have their own very distinct sounds. as far as preferences, i don't know, it would be hard for me to choose between the two. i do lean more towards hip hop though...

I like his music but he isn't a very nice individual.

I think he's a man who makes music.

I was going to get My Dark Twisted Fantasy.

But some songs in it made me feel real uneasy.

Some weird ass s*** going down in his mind.

I'll stick to 808's and leave this all behind.
