She's sacrificing her own well being for our heavenly Father. She must be a woman of faith.

'Um. Wtf are you doing?'
'SHUT UP! I'm expressing myself! *Strikes weird pose*'
'Right.'
Seriously though, I don't care.
I don't particularly care about what she does. Though I do love seeing how people get worked up over her antics.
.. im not really that much of a fan of her in the first place, and its a bit offensive for her to do that - a little over the line. I understand that she was "taking in religion" but.. it could have been done another way. ... would it be ironic if she choked on it?xhellcatxI'm not going to lie..i would laugh..

Lady Gaga definitely isn't for everyone. She is however one of the better artists in the industry today and its easy to see why she is popular. She's not another carbon copy artists copying everyone else. She stands out and is different in an entertaining and sometimes controversial way. The mere fact that you had to discuss the offensiveness of her content means that she is doing her job as an artist.Diablo-BAs much as I passionatley hate her music I think she is awesome.
I think people are far too timid about making fun of christianity, when we are quite free to disrespect just about anything else we want.

1. I think it's disrespectful and blasphemous.
2. If I'm correct, during the Spanish civil war the Republicans/Communists forced Spanish Catholics to swallow rosaries (and then threw them down the well).
3. I also think it's a double standard- had she burned a gay flag or done something offensive to blacks or Jews, there would be a big uproar and I doubt MTV or VH1 would show it.
4. Other than that, she's pretty weird, so maybe her mental issues lessen her moral culpability.
5. I'm not really a fan of her music anyway, it all seems the same too.
which is kind of ironic for Gaga to say, since doesn't she try to ram "LGBT" junk down people's throats.[QUOTE="-sharp-shooter-"]
I see it as a way of saying that religion is rammed down some peoples throats.

umm...no
the main theme of the song is about a gay man is it not?play_thegameProbably. I don't really understand the media and entertainment industry's obsession with homosexuality, probably just a passing fad like all media obsessions, but of all things to get fascinated by.

Doesn't this Alejandro music video feature a lot of gay stuff (with a title like Alejandro, it would've been better to make it about Arizona's immigration laws) and also didn't she dedicate and award she won "to God and the gays" and hasn't she frequently talked about the gay community" (whatever that is, I doubt all gay people share similar views and think of themselves as part of a gay community, In fact I imagine for many gays their gayness is nota big part of their identity).[QUOTE="whipassmt"]which is kind of ironic for Gaga to say, since doesn't she try to ram "LGBT" junk down people's throats. That doesn't make any sense. Preaching religion is about telling people how they need to be a certain way. Advocating for people like LGBT is about protecting human rights, not trying to convert people to be LGBT..I couldn't care less what she does. I dislike her and her music.Lady Gaga's new video for her song alejandro is just weird and wrong. I'm not sure what many of the things mean, but its quite clear that she is being disrespectful to christianity. how does it make you feel to her doing things like swallowing a rosary and dressing up as a catholic priestess and getting "raped". Do these images offend you , or do you just not care ?

(I'm not saying she sounds like Marilyn Manson; I'm saying they're in the same category.)

Lady Gaga's 'Alejandro' Director Explains Video's Painful Meaning
"I was not thinking in terms [of influences.] I saw it more as a combination of cinema and theater," Klein wrote. "[It is] about a woman's desire to resurrect a dead love and who can not face the brutality of her present situation. The pain of living without your true love."
Steven Klein sheds light on some of the "Alejandro" controversy
With all the hoo haa on Lady GaGa's latest video, Alejandro" , the director of the clip Steven Klein decided to come forward to not only defend the criticism, but also to explain it to those who were left scratching their heads after watching the video…
"The religious symbolism is not meant to denote anything negative, but represents the character's battle between the dark forces of this world and the spiritual salvation of the Soul," Klein explained. "Thus at the end of the film, she chooses to be a nun, and the reason her mouth and eyes disappear is because she is withdrawing her senses from the world of evil and going inward towards prayer and contemplation."
Klein added that the scene in which Gaga ingests the rosary beads is meant to represent "the desire to take in the holy."
And thus we see how something so innocent could become a big deal when people add false interpretations to things.Read before making judgments

The difference between advocating homosexuality and preaching religion is the belief in the one true path. Where homosexual advocates are fighting for equality and pride, people that preach religion are fighting on the grounds of their superiority and ultimate enlightenment. A comparison of the two is apples and oranges.[QUOTE="bruinfan617"][QUOTE="whipassmt"] and I think I'de call what the Preachers are doing preaching or Evangelizing, not "ramming religion down people's throats".

Gaga's clearly moved on from the "Justify My Love" phase of her career and entered the "Like a Prayer" phase.
Seriously, this is turning into Madonna 2, almost literally.
