OPEN meaning you can willingly sleep around with the consent of your main lover. Personally I think its insane and would cause huge jealously issues. I read a story where a guy accepted the OPEN relationship from his girlfriend and she went and banged her ex...True he agreed but going back to ur EX is crazy.

Not sure how I'd feel about it until I find myself in such a situation. I enjoy monogamy and the comfort and safety it brings, but if I had a partner who was interested in branching out, I might give it a try once.

I don't like the idea for myself, but if others want to do it they can knock themselves out.

Lol that chick just wanted to not feel bad for cheating. You can have an open relationship, but that was just abusing the guys trust.

I don't feel particularly anything about them. Simply a practice I would not commit to. No interest in polygamy.

I envy those people who have completely separated sex from love.

Open relationships are interesting but I couldn't do it so props to those who can.

it's like drinking and driving; it sounds like the best of both worlds, but it's probably going to end horribly, and may end up hurting innocent people.

It's best just to keep the sexual "open-ness" between you and your lover, meaning trying new things when it comes to sex, and communicating with eachother about it.

It's not for me. I'm perfectly content with a monogamous relationship, plus I'd think that I'd end up with the raw end of the deal. Even a moderately hot girl would be able to take much more advantage of that situation than I would.. up to a certain age..

Don't believe in them. I might (MIGHT) be willing to sleep with someone else *with* my partner, but not when he's not around (and I completely expect him to feel the same way),

its the only way to go why would you only want one ass when you could have as many as you could handle plus the benefits of being in a relationship you're all just brainwashed weaklings that think about feelings and standards you made up too much

Would not agree to one and would break up with anyone who insisted on one. If other people want to that's their business.

And less swag.

You gotta have mad swag to get your gurl to put on the maid outfit.

biologically speaking, men can procreate roughly every 72 hours on average, women every 9 months.  It is natural for men to want to fool around, and yet at the same time we are extremely protective of our "mates" in modern society (which has nothing to do with procreation, yet the instinct is still there), which is hypocritical, because the man tends to get really jealous if the woman fools around.

I find it is better to just stick to one partner.  I've seen open relationships, both willing and other, lead to nothing but trouble.

And honestly, if your partner can't satisfy you, just break up with them and find another.  To do anything else is cowardly.  There are a few minor exceptions, of course.

We also weren't capable of a lot of things back when Homo sapeins first evolved. Like complex writing systems, engineering and psychological analysis. If you want to live in the stone age, that's fine, just find others willing to live in there with you.

completely irrelevant examples my point was that monogamy is a recent societal construct you buy into it and thats fine, but you are disregarding the fact that you bought into it rather than how natural it is or isnt

Its an abomination. I find it very hard to accept that some people believe it can be a part of a serious, mature and fruitful relationship. The whole concept is distorted.

Not sure. Just seems like a more emotionally-centric ideal, rather than a biological one. Attesting to our evolution as a species away from out basest instincts.
