How do you feel about "Diversity"

It makes life more interesting. I loved the diversity of people you get in London, and I'd love to visit New York – I think the 'disease' you speak of would make for a fascinating city.

What do you mean by "diversity"? If you mean, people beginning to integrate people from different backgrounds, ethnicities, social statuses, income statuses, nationalities, religions, and customs into one merging and constantly developing society in an effort to create a much richer and tolerant people that want to work together to further personal, corporate, or national goals...then I am all for it. clayron

Oh my lord, I'm sorry OP but I can't help but feel that your viewpoint is very ignorant. Why does everything in America how to be about race jeez. Why can't we just be PEOPLE. THERE ARE BAD PEOPLE AND THERE ARE GOOD PEOPLE. There are immigrants who come here and abuse welfare and partake in criminal activity, but there are hard working immigrants who come to America with the hope to achieve what they weren't able to in their countries of origin. The exact same can be said about Americans of all ethnicities. Please don't generalize

It's nothing new.

It just bothers me reading reports of white women gang raped by criminal minorities. Or innocent white people robbed and/or killed in their own countries by outsiders. I know it sounds racist and I know not all of them are bad people by any means. It just hits home really hard for some reason with me.

Frankly, I think forcing diversty is pointless. People develop their opinions about other people based on race/sex/relegion/sexual orientation very early in life and those opinions rarely change.

All we can do is passively educate, without forcing things on people they don't want. If a white man doesn't want to associate with a black man, who cares? As long as no violence is done, then there is no problem IMO. It only when violence occurs when theres a real issue.

I agree to an extent that forcing diversity where its not welcome is a waste of time, but there is noting wrong with diversity as a concept. In fact, its much better than the alternative.

Well I'm not "white" so errr yes to diversity? In seriousness though, I do support diversity. So many of my friends come from all sorts of different ethnic/cultural backgrounds.

I can understand why people are against "forced" diversity as it can create more problems, but I seriously have to wonder about people who are against voluntary diversity.

Wow. My point went straight over your head.

What I am saying is that we don't mate with family members because genetic diversity is more healthy. Genetic defects can be canceled out by genetic diversity whereas inbreeding makes it so that genetic defects of families are not canceled out. I'm saying that genetic diversity is a prime example of why diversity is a good thing.

Im for it, but you always gonna have the whites who hate other races, and the blacks who think they cant be racist and we owe them because some distant relative was a slave, and some mexicans who insult you in spanish as you walk by because they think you wont know because ur white.

Diversity is good if you give minorities equal legal status, but not if you give them a preferential legal status.

I say this as a Chinese who lives in a nation which spouts out propoganda about being a tolerant, multiracial and multireligious nation while elevating the indigenous people towards a higher legal status over the "lesser races".

Diversity is fine, as long as it isn't emphasized over qualifications in things like jobs and schools.

I think it should never be forced upon people. If it happens, fine, but I don't want the govt or anyone else forcing "diversity" or "multi-culturalism" down my throat.

It was started by european colonists...for like the first 100 years...and yes it has been forced upon us. The only thing i have against this whole race thing is how the minorities get freaking scholarships to college only for the reason that they are that race. Guess who it is hardest to get into universities? white males...
