How do you judge people on GS?

I received a couple of PM's just recently asking me if I was gay :?

I replied to them: "No... What makes you think that?" And they told me that my avatar was very flamboyant, so they just put the pieces together.

To me that's just nonsense and I think people need to take into consideration of getting to know a person before calling them a homosexual.

So, OT I ask you - is that how you judge other people on the internet? How their avatars look or how silly their usernames and sigs might be?

I judge people by what they type and reveal about themselves here.

On the Playstation forums, I go by whomever can argue with me without sounding like a child in diapers that learned how to talk early. It's also where most if not all my popularity/posts come from. OT, I have to take an entirely different approach. For example, there's a guy with "faythe" in his name or something that seemed offended that I didn't agree that Christians were stupid for their beliefs.

People who get offended too easily and won't face any issues they have with other members is one big one. The other one is people ignoring post directly requesting a response from them. High leveled posters do this more, for some stupid reason, and seem content in sticking to social circles...on a forum. That gives me the impression that they have a middle school / high school mentality, if they're not actually there. Usually those kind of folks don't get along with me, which is fine. As for what kind of OTers I judge favorably, I know Rawsaven and Mitu(?) I like off the bat and the ones that are from the PS3 forums. I think everyone else is secretly planning on killing me Julies style. >_> Basically, don't do something you wouldn't want done to you and we'll be greatsauce. If you have a problem with me, it's because you're upset that I expect more from you. =p

You do bring up a good point. two people so far in two days have asked me if I was gay and I really didn't know why people are coming to such accusations. I'm guessing it's the topless Ken doll. I guess it isn't going to make me look straight on an internet website. I just wanted to express my love for Toy Story 3 and how funny the Ken character was, but obviously people on this site don't get that.Nerd_Man

I usually judge people by their posts. I look at the spelling and grammar first, followed by the actual content. I could see how someone would get that impression about your avatar. Basically there are two types of cowboys:

There are the real cowboys, who look like they've been chewed up and spit out into a mud puddle, and then there's...well, if you don't already know then I guess there's no helping you. It doesn't help that he also appears to have no shirt on :P

I actually though you were gay because of your avy, too. :lol:
