If at all? I was at Fuddrucker's the other night(amazing place, btw), and my friends made fun of me as usual for getting my burger cooked well-done. Their argument was that the flavor is diminished without all the juices. Well one of my buddies got the same burger as me, only medium-rare. When we went up to get the burgers, I grabbed the wrong one. I ate half of it and couldn't take anymore. There's NO more flavor at all with those juices IMO, and the bun just got so soggy I felt like throwing up. I took his Well-Done one though and finished with delight!

So how do you like your meat cooked?

I eat it well done as well. The juices and the pink make me feel sick.

When I order a burger I say "I want this burger" and I have ALWAYS gotten it well-done. I've never been asked how I wanted a burger done.

However, I like my steak medium, sometimes medium-rare if it's a harder cut

Medium well. I find it has no flavor when it's too well done but anything less than medium well is like eating raw meat, at least imo.

If I'm cooking it, medium.

If I am at a restaurant, I tell the waiter that I want my meat cooked to the preference of the chef. He knows meat better than me.

I like it well done, I dont like my meat how I like I like my women. Tan on the outside and pink and juicy in the middle.

I like my meat nice and well done, still taste as good. When its pink in the middle I feel like im eating something too raw.

Medium or.. light? I don't know what you English speaking folks call it.

Depends on where i am though, if you chose anything below medium in France/Belgium it's more or less raw. I'm not a fan of that.

Just medium. It seems to be the best compromise. Sometimes on steaks I'll go medium well, just because I've had steaks that were cold before.

If I were to get say a steak it has to be extremely rare. I like them just filled with blood and red meat. Other than that I don't care about how other meat is cooked.

Who the hell orders medium rare burgers? That's like asking someone to inject your intestines with e. coli.

Having said that, I do like my steak medium rare. Too rare and the flesh has too soft a consistency and too low a temperature. I've had steaks that were hot on the outside and cold on the inside and they're disgusting.

Too well-done, of course, and you lose much of the blood and juice, and that's not right either.

I don't like it juicy. If I see any pink or red inside the burger, my stomach starts turning. I don't know why, I've just always hated it.

I'm sorry but I have eaten steak rare my whole life and I've never gotten any illness off it. Rare is the only way to have it. Flash fried on the outside for a crispy outer bit and then pink/blue in the middle.

Steak is fine to have rare, but burgers are a different story: in the grinding process, the bacteria that normally exists on the outer layer of the meat gets ground up with the rest inside the moist meat. Once it's spread around like that, it's an E-coli shopping mall. That's why burgers are always supposed to be well-done, but steak can be rare.

Although i'll agree that Fuddruckers makes the best damned burgers, I was always baffled about the rare/medium/well question they ask. anyways, when it comes to steaks, i like mine pulp fiction-style: bloody as hell.

Well if we are talking steak, medium rare all the way. Hamburgers need to be cooked all they way through because you really can get sick if they arn't.
