If Japan did wipe out the US forces at Pearl Harbour, it wouldn't be a problem for them to get California. Germany could get Europe, barring Russia. The mistake from Hitler was that he invaded Russia, which he should left out last. Get the whole of Europe first, then only get Russia. But I doubt that could happen. I could only think that Germany would sign a treaty with Russia to come to terms and divide their fair share of spoils. As for South Asia, Japan would definitely get it, except for Thailand. The rest of SEA would be invaded. If that really happened, we wouldn't have the current Middle East conflict, for sure. As for me, a bit tricky, I may or may not exist. I could be born a Japanese! This. The problem that both Japan and germany had was that they attacked two bears, the soviet Union and the U.S. Germany had no chance once they attacked the USSR, but I believe that if Japan had just had better luck and better naval commanders, the U.S. could have been invaded. perhaps not held, but at least threatened. If the carriers at pearle harbour had been there, or the battle of midway had beeenwon, The U,S, would be on very dangerous ground. The main problem with this, from a military standpoint, is that while the Japanese navy was the largest and most advanced of it's time, the army was stuck in the inter-war years. It had barely any submachine guns, and its tanks were terrible. (In the later war, they actually produced small amounts of tanks that could stand up to American armor, but by this time bombing had crippled japanese industry, and these few tanks were allocated to protect the home islands, and thus never saw combat). because of this, an offensive accross the U.S. heartland would have become impossible once we started to mass produce heavier tanks. (unless the Japanese had launched a full on strategic bombong campaign and cripple American industry). So, all in all, an allied victory was assured on all fronts.
