How Do You Think the Human Race Will End?

Some popular outcomes are

- giant meteor

- pollution (uninhabitable planet)

- lack of water/food (over population)

- war/nuclear bomb

- alien invasion

- zombies of course

- Humans will never die!!!!

I'm leaning more towards the giant meteor myself, but what do you think?

I just heard that U.S has plans to improve its nukes so that's a possibility.

I myself am a fan of big crunch theory.

Who was the man that stipulated that very few races once they reach a technological state where they can destroy themselves 19 out of 20 won't survive.

The horse stopped being the main mode of transportation only like ~100 years ago. When we're living on more than one planet you'll probably have a point.

TBH, I think we're most likely to be wiped out by one of my Dads farts polluting the air, making it unbreathable.

I would guess some massive Sun explosion but even then humanity will have already colonize other parts of the galaxy so it's hard to say. Maybe Reapers.

I think it will be a long time before our species is actually extinct. But I wouldn't rule out that a while before that happens we fall into some sort of post-apocalyptic state. Unless the sun explodes or we are hit by some life exterminating asteroid, we'd find a way, at least a small population of us would find a way to survive without the technology we currently have.

War. We've reached the point of mutually assured destruction. All it takes is one nuclear launch, and that's it - it's the end. I can imagine another world war, one which pits the allied super-powers against everyone else who doesn't want to take a part America's imperalistic struggle. Eventually countries will grow sick of the globalization and imperialism and lash back before they realize it's too late. In the USA's attempt to unite and take over the world through faux-democracy and politics, I can't imagine all other countries sitting idly by and watching as the world shrinks around them.

Most other issues such as over-population, aren't necessarily real threats and can be managed and curbed. War, on the other hand, is an inevitability. At least, infinitely more likely than world peace.

Gamma ray burst is the only thing that would surely kill us all off.

I'm going with some type of "natural disaster".

no, I'm sure we'll go extinct through a deterioration of the social order, and if not that then a man-made calamity like overpopulation and depletion of resources without the technological development of necessary food production, made-made climate change, never-ending war leading to maybe a major nuclear war... maybe man might survive, in some very primitive stage down the line, but nothing like where we are today
