It means that I want to live life and not be scared about everything.

I'd rather die in my 20's living life than die of old age being afraid all the time and not doing what I want.

Not to say that I want to die in my 20's, or that I'm some kind of daredevil, but I will live life being a free man, not being a slave of fear and timidy.
