The only thing that is not accurate is that my fingers hit different keys than they should. Instead of my right index finger hitting the letter "Y", my left index finger does it, and when ever I hold down the shift key, usually my left index finger tries to hit a letter.

Its because I got that score because Im the type that looks at the keys and the screen when typing so I see where my fingers go, if I learned to not have to look down Id type faster but my accuracy wouldnt be as good.

I'm severely multitasking right now or else I'd take that typing test.

I normally score anywhere from 90-160 WPM. I'm quite fast but not overly accurate. I make a lot of typos..

On Facebook, this typing app, says I type 87wpm :?

Yeah, I used to do that aswell, still do on occassion because my fingers are so damn stubborn sometimes.

Hmm, maybe if you were..lets say..99% accurate you would be around 70wpm which is still good!

I scored 55 with 100% accuracy, which is pretty good considering that I type with only two fingers, except using my thumb for the space bar and pinky for the shift and enter keys. Though seeing as I have to look at the keyboard while I type, I type a lot faster when it's purely from my own mind. I'd probably be at around 60-75 if I didn't have to keep looking up.bman784

You'd be faster if you kept your eyes on the screen rather than looking down and keep your reading pace ahead of your fingers pace. Thats what I try and do.

I took a keyboarding cIass at school I remember bieng pretty good, and we did really long paragraphs and we went by "GWAM" and some people would get in the hundreds.

Gave it a shot on my laptop, first try 117, but the laptop's old so the cursor lag killed my accuracy. A second try here, little better - I'll do it on my desktop tomorrow after cl ass should be able to show you what 120 wpm+ with 98%+ looks like (my usual typing speed).

Please remember to post screen caps of your results. It's pretty meaningless to say "200 wpm" unless you have the test-output to prove it.subrosian

Well that requires me to do it again, as I closed the page. :P Fortunately they gave me a different passage, so it still counts as a legitimate test (and not just going from memory).

I actually did better this time than last.

I gave it one more "college try" - it gives you a different piece of text every time, it would seem, and yet I keep mistyping on things I should not have missed by one or two letters in total. Bah.
