I play sports a lot so that probably helps, and I am eating healthier foods.
Edit: also the last time I actually weighed myself was probably about a year ago.
Edited Edit: I just weighed myself again and I am at 145. =)
Still muscle weighs more than fat, what sports do you play?
is that even true? i thought it was a common misconception that musce weighs more than fat. a lb of muscle= a lb of fat...yea im 5'9 and 162. i also do martial arts :) which ones do you do?I've got a little bit of a beer belly which I'm working on slicing it down a bit. I'm 5'8 and about 165 lbs and that's with clothes on. I'm not a very big guy. But I also do alot of Martial Arts.

"A woman weighing 150 pounds with 19% fat will look much smaller (and be much healthier) than a woman at 150 pounds with 35% fat. They weigh the same, yet the composition is different. Because muscle is more dense than fat the person with less fat and more muscle will look smaller."

No its partially true, muscle is more dense than fat so it it weighs more to a comparatable fat size. I will still sink relatively fast in water when my lungs are full of air, i am more dense than the water therefore i sink. A fatter person will float or at least sink slower. Please Log In to post.
