How good is your eyesight?

According to the doctors eyechart (regular doctor not eye doctor) 20/10

I notice that vision can be better than 20/20; which is so-called "perfect vision". For example, there's 20/15 vision; which is better than 20/20. Therefore 20/20 vision isn't perfect vision.

20/15 both eyes, I'm the only one in my family and my mom's side that doesn't wear glasses.

Laser surgery for 20/40 vision sounds a bit much, TC. I don't know what my grade is, but siffuce to say it's a lot better when I wear my glasses.

Both of my parents wear glasses, my father's much thicker than my mother's. All of my grandparents wear glasses too. Guess.NBSRDan

My family is the same, including my brother, but I have perfect vision. So I guess your vision is fine.

Right eye-20/25 and sort of farsighted

Left eye-20/200 and sort of nearsighted, early glaucoma signs

Yeah, I hope that doesn't go lazy. My doctor said it's also showing early signs of glaucoma, and I'm only 17.

Really bad. I'm extremely near-sighted. I can't read 12-point font from just over a foot away from my face.

not very good. i wore glasses from age 5 to 15.

I have not had my eyes tested for quite a while, but I can read long distance signs a lot sooner than most people I know. Up close things are fine. I always keep my browser zoom waaaay out

20/15 in the left, 20/20 in the right.

Last time I had my vision checked, 20/20. I don't have any problems with my eyesight.

Not sure all I know is that it degraded over the last year and my prescription got changed a few days ago. But with contact I'm rockin 20/20. :P

with out lenses im 20/600.

with contacts im 20/15, with my newest glasses it puts me near 20/10.

NOW lets clear some things up.

legal blindness is anything considered above 20/200.

bad eye sight does not mean huge coke bottle glasses. my glasses are really thin. but they use a high index material so they refract more with a smaller thickness. so they look completely normal.

ALSO TC. laser eye surgery you are probly not a contidate for, at all. not just because you have mostly fine vision. but from the mom reference you also arent old enough. its highly recomended to wait till the age of atleast 25yrs. as when youre growing your eyes are still changing shape. you eyes can even improve while youre still growing. and by that time im sure you wont be asking your mom for the money.

I used to have 20/10 vision and could see like a hawk.

Now I am 20/ (a large number) nearsighted and see floaters in bright light.:cry:

I miss the good old days when I had nail driving accuracy, owned at paintball, and didn't need glasses.

i have 20/20. i got laser vision correction done to my eyes march 14th of last year & its changed my life. i can see so clearly now. it was quite an experience...Fantasticus

So how bad was it having your eyes cut/worked on while you where awake?

I wear glasses, so not that great.:P

Don't remember the stat. Bad enough that I require corrective lenses to drive, good enough that I can still operate comfortably without them for most tasks.
