How long did it take for you to feel at home on OT?

As in how long did it really take for you to get into the OT groove? probably took more 4-5 months, I feel alot less restricted now and usually just let my posts flow easier 8)

I still haven't.

I spend about a day here every few months, then I have to regain anonimity, so I go to other boards, or flat out leave because I can't stand gamespot any more..

I still don't, OT is a cold, dark, and lonely place.

I felt home from the beginning. I joined January 2nd and already reached 1k+ posts. :P So proud...LustForSoul

OT is full of intellectual people and is also full of pretentious snobs, I'd rather feel a bit restricted all the time.Mehdi-Y

If the question is how long did it take for me to be comfortable with posting in OT? Right away...

If the question is how long did it take for me to become a respected member of the community? Still not...

as soon as i saw the first girl help thread i realized i came to the right place.

idk about feeling at home but comfortable with it i guess a few months

I was about level 13 when I started feeling comfortable.

Probably about 3 - 4 weeks......though OT was a bit more active 5+ years ago.

Hell no. Some users have been known to break 10,000 in a single month.....though they are a very rare breed of poster.

Hell no. Some users have been known to break 10,000 in a single month.....though they are a very rare breed of poster.

The first month I had 3,000 posts. I slowed down alot since then.

About a month or two? Really enjoy it now :)

I took me a few months. At first I felt as if being a new user made some of the veterans think less of my opinion or something. After a while though I got over that and I started to recognize the more active users and see the patterns most threads take.

Once I learned that most arguments here boiled down to pointing out each other's generalizations and subjective arguments instead of actually addressing the obvious point someone was trying to make I stopped taking it so seriously. Then I fit right in.

Still not quite at home. Not until I'm ready to take over.

Longer than it should had been...

If there is one thing that i know, its that i don't fall into a groove of any kind. I'm a lost wandering little sheep. Baah.

My first post was pretty much a game changer for this board and every subsequent post was a blessing to you all, so the question of "feeling at home" is not even one I can answer. For all intents and purposes, I am OT.
