I swear I lay in bed for hours some times. It's sort of annoying because I feel like I could have spent my time better, rather than laying in bed and not sleeping.

So OT! How long does it take you guys to get some shut eye? Anybody else have problems sleeping?

It all depends. I have to take sleeping pills sometimes so I can get to and stay asleep.

It varies, depending on my exhaustion. Even when I lay awake for hours, I can't do anything productive - too tired to work, but not too tired to sleep. I hate that feeling.

I usually can't even remember going to bed the previous night, as I fall asleep almost instantly. I also can sleep almost anywhere on demand.

Unisom gels. If I fell like I am getting sick, I break out the Nyquil.

I usually have to wait until I'm properly exhausted to be able to get to sleep which means I'm up 'till around 4am most days.

That's one reason why I like public transit. It takes my bus about 45 minutes to get me home from work every day. So I just get on, fall asleep, then wake up at the last stop. It's like an instant commute!

10 minutes when I'm really tired, 30 minutes otherwise. I'm a heavy sleeper, but it's hard to fall asleep sometimes. I need to "think" myself to sleep.

It takes me a long time nearly every single night. The fastest I can fall asleep these days is 30-45 minutes. On average I suppose it takes me 90-120 minutes to fall asleep, though sometimes it takes more time and sometimes it takes less time. Last night was particularly bad. I tried to go to bed early at 10:30 PM, but finally gave up at 2 and showered and got online for a bit. I resumed trying to sleep at about 4 AM and finally fell asleep at 6 or so.

It varies quite a lot.

On some days I may fall asleep in a minute, others somewhere around half an hour, and sometimes several hours.

Usually about 2-3 hours, I tend to take sleeping pills a couple nights a week to help balance things out, since I have to be up by about 8A and rarely can fall asleep before 2:30A or so unaided

I used to stay up because my 7 year old would keep me up. He has a hard time falling asleep because he is on foculin. I went through a year of this before we tried melatonin and it works like a charm. I highlyrecommend it now.

5 minutes - a couple of hours.

Its such a waste of time laying there for more than 30 minutes. Then I think about how much time I've wasted and what I could have been doing. Then I get bored and start to do math or something in my head. That usually results in me not falling asleep for a couple of hours. :x

I only sleep when I'm tired, so usually I can fall asleep in about 10-15 minutes. Back when I used to try and give myself a set bedtime I would lay awake for hours.

More often than not it only takes a couple minutes, but I stay up until I'm yawning so I'm up until 12 or later every night, which isn't really much of a trade since I'd like to be asleep by 11.
