I love reading books, and when it is a good book I can sit still and read it(might need music. But when it is dull or I feel like I have to read it GAWD, I can not sit still. I get distracted and discourged and worst of all I feel like I am not picking up any info or following the text. I can get through a good book(especially comics) easily the most it takes me to read a 300 pg novel is 1-8 days. I have to read four chapters in my text book but I just cant find the enthusiasm. I poor over it but at the same time I worry if I am picking up info, or just mumbling the words.

A few weeks, but if I like the book, I can do a 300 page in a week. I take public transportation to work, so that gives me a lot of opportunity to read. That's with novels though. Textbooks are different... I need to go to classes so the materials sinks in. If I tried to read a long section/chapter, my eyes keep moving with the words, but nothing is actually going in my head. I took commerce, so things like accounting, economics, insurance law and regulations were not that engaging enough to hold my attention.

It depends on the book...I couldn't vote for one in the poll because some do only take me a couple hours, while others have taken me a couple weeks (mostly because I struggled getting interested in them or I just didn't feel like reading:P). And a lot of the books I've been reading lately have been over 700 pages long so those take me a bit longer. I did finish one last night that I'd only started on Thursday...can't tell you how many pages it was as it was on my Kindle, and it didn't give me that info for that particular book.

It depends on the book.

If it is a light read, I can finish it in few hours/a day or two.

If it is a long book that is heavy in content, it could take me months.

Depends on the book and whether it's easy to comprehend, whenever I read anything that's complicated like World War II strategies I tend to re-read a chapter.

Depends on how big the book is and how interesting it is, I usually don't read anything other than autobiographies and I get through 1 of them in about a week at a time.

That's one thing I hate about books... I'll have several that I want to read, but I have to wait to read others until after I have finished one. It takes a lot of time to run through a list of books.

Depends on the book but usually not long at all. I often read whole books in one sitting.

Probably average between 100 - 200 pages an hour depending on the font size.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Do you actually read or just skim through :P? Personally if I'm really into a book I can finish a 400-500 page book in 2-3 days, but that's spending a few hours a day reading. If I'm not into the book it could take a while.

About a day if I'm really into it, or three if it's a bit chewy. This is based on if the book is 4-5 hundred pages.

It really varies. It doesn't really depend on how much I like the book either. Right now I'm almost half way through a 400 page book in two sittings, and few months ago I finished three books in the space of two weeks.

If I can ever find a book I want to read again then it would only take a couple days. I used to read books pretty fast when I was in school.

Depends on how long the book is and how much I like it.

If it's between 400 and 600 pages and I really like it it takes me a few days to read it. If I don't like it as much it can take upto a few weeks.

It really depends. An easy read with bigger print, it'll take me maybe 3 hours. If I'm reading Ulysses, it'll take me 12-15 hours to get to page 300 lol. Typically I'd say about five or six hours though.

I have an average reading pace of about 150-200 pages a day, so depending on the length of the book and if I've read it already (I frequently re-read books to pick up on things I may miss the first time, especially if I really like the book... I've read through "The Stand" at least 15 times) I can finish it on average in about 3-4 days (anything smaller than 300 pages is a "short story" to me :D ).

Depends on the book my record for finishing books so far is two books in a single night 6pm to midnight or something like that andbeing Warriors books Super Editions are rougly 500 pages. Though think I started 6pm ended at 1am. The Regular books being roughly 300 pages I can finish in a few hours. and a book like game of thrones being rougly over 800 pages took me a few weeks since I kind of put it off. and Under the Dome took me like 5 days or so , though I did like the book alot.

It really depends on the book. Sometimes it can take a few days, weeks, months or in some cases a few years due to my laziness.

I don't read often. I used to love it and would do so all the time when I was younger, but as I've grown older I've lost interest. Besides studying, you can most often catch me reading nonfiction type things (e.g., articles, etc).

I remember reading like 40-70 pages per hour in Harry Potter, so averaging 50 per hour, 1 hour a week, it'd take me under 1 week. Sadly the last time I read a non-Harry Potter book (I'm not talking like a 3 page story in a textbook) was probably 6 years ago .:(

It depends what it is. I can usually read a book in a few hours to a day, depending on how intresting it is, how many pages it has, etc. It took me almost a week to read through War & Peace. It was almost a boring book, but what it was about intrigued me.
Its about the era of Napolean, his attempted invasions of Russia, the coalition of nations that took hm on and manged to stop him for a time, the politics, the mood of the time as the war starts and ends and then starts up again, tactics of the battles, and religion & philosophy
Normally when I want to read something I get hooked and read for hours upon hours. Like Harry Potter VII, read that in one day, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, read like 200 pages and then realized how long I had been reading. That's how reading always turns out for me, but I don't read as much as I used to (Reading for fun that is),

Depends on the book. If it's something I want to read a matter of days. If it's like a text book probably the whole semester or never.
