If the U.S. conservatives continue to destoy the economy and reputation of the U.S. in the world, it'll be alot sooner than that, and if we are to attack Iran as many far righters want to, the u.s. will no longer be a super power shortly after that.... the democracts are destroying America, they always stop funding for our military, our troops are out there fighting for their freedoms and they want to stop funding them, so you have any idea of what kind of message that sends to the troops. You think Iran would be that much of a threat, they arent. we cant beat any military in conventional warfare hands down. When they start fighting unconventionally it gets tough becuase you have no idea where they are and who is shooting. The democrats are restricting our ROEs making it extremely difficult to fight like this. We could level Iran in 1 hour if we had the chance  Its alot more complicated then that.. The reason why tehy want to stop FUNDING is because they do not believe anything good can come from the war at hand.. And the only positive predictions of the surge have come from the same think tanks that have been wrong in every prediction when it came to the Iraqi War.
  And soldiers are not fighting for our freedoms... They are fighting to stabalize a country that was invaded for reasons that were deemed as utterly false..  Nor are they fighting for terrorism when it comes to Iraq, numerous reports have shown that AQ was non existent and Saddam hated them with a passion. Now it has become a breeding gorund for terrorist, so bad that reports have shown that it is now more dangerous then it was before we invaded the country..Â
   Any rational person should not fund or agree with the incompetence this war has been given.. Our goal was terrorism.. In the end we basically let Bin Ladin go when he was cornered, and now the Taliban is coming back as well in Afghanistan.Â
  So what we have done is increase terrorism, let the figure head of AQ free, further distabilised the middle east, further cause extreme hatred to the US with Abu Ghurub, allowing torture etc..  Not to mention the loss and maiming of our brave soldiers.
   Why should we as a nation fund this what so ever, when the only way can change the path of the war is by cutting funding.Â
 Also people has to stop stereotyping entire poltiical parties.. Both the democratic and Republican parties are not perfect at all.. I do not consider the adminstration in office the true republican parties ideals, and MANY people agree with this.
