AP exams only have 5 scores, all of which are based on standard distributions.

I took AP Language my junior year, made a 3 on the test. And I took AP Lit this year, don't know what I made on the test though... probably a 3, I'd be surprised if I made any higher.
Yeah, if you take a lot of tests (or even just a few) it gets pretty expensive. It's almost like they're discouraging you from taking them...I took a lot...pretty much any AP i could take. Which was a big waste of money for those AP tests, only one of them counted for my degree. :|

I took the Psychology, English Language, US History, World History and Human geography AP tests last year. Got 4s on all of them, except the English one, which I got a 5 on.
I took Stats and Macroeconomics this year, and I don't feel too good about either of them.
you think if i call the number on the back of the pamphlet they will give me the score earlier? i really want to know now. if its only out of 5 i probably did alot better than i thought i did.SkweebsThePanda5's, depending on the test, can be quite difficult to get. And, no, you won't find out until early-to-mid July. They don't finish the grading until then.
A while back, but I took three. Physics (3/5, awful teacher), psychology (forgot to pay, didn't take the test), and calc (5/5).
In the 9th grade I took Biology H. My study habits weren't "good" by any stretch of the word, so I failed the AP with a 2 and a B in the class, only because the teacher liked to assign a lot of extra busywork.
Last year (10th grade), I took European History AP. I finally got into a study habit that works for me and managed to get a B first semester and an A second semester. I really studied hard for the AP test and managed to somewhat easily get a 4, which I think is pretty good considering that it's supposed to be the second-hardest AP (after bio). I feel like I could have gotten a 5, but I forgot some key facts on one of the essays. It was about Europe's post-WWII economic and social development, and I completely forgot the European Coal and Steel Community, European Community, etc. that would eventually lead to the European Union. Whoops.
This year (11th), I'm taking Chemistry H (5-point A) and AP US History. I got an easy A in chemistry first semester, but a lot of people seemed to struggle. There's no way I could have taken the AP though. Just too much more than my class covered. This semester, I'm right between an A and a B, so I really need to bring that up. As for APUS, this is my teacher's first year, so it was kind of a joke. The AP was pretty easy though. Similar to Euro in format, but with a lot less to memorize, and with certain areas that can be focused on over others.
Next year, I'm gonna take English 4 AP, AP Environmental Science, AP US Government, and French 5 AP. I'm completely undecided as to which AP tests to take, but I'm almost certainly going to take one or two for the college credit.
Also English AP. No edit button. D:[QUOTE="rcignoni"]
Next year I'll be taking AP Chem and AP US.
Senior year holds AP Bio, AP Euro, AP French, and AP Calculus for me.

Lol. AP Chem is the only class I've dropped in my entire high school career.
It was brutal.

I hear a lot of that from my friends.
Did they make you take a pre-school zero period every morning? That's probably the main thing that kep me from taking that.

No, but we had to stay after school every Wednesday for two hours to do lab stuff.

Well, if my grades were any indication, my hate for chemistry is reciprocal.:P
Edited for redundancy.

That's not what a "five" means. As I said, it is based on distributions of raw scores. The top X percent get a 5, the next Y percent get a 4, and so on.
[QUOTE="thepwninator"][QUOTE="SkweebsThePanda"] ...there were AT LEAST 95 QUESTIONS ON IT.SkweebsThePandaI see you don't understand what a "distribution" is. Each score, a 1, a 2, a 3, a 4, and a 5 corresponds to a range of raw scores (raw score is the total number of points you earn). You never find out your raw score. You just find out what range you fall in via the deviation-based score. yeah i dont get it, i should write an email to the ap people asking for them to explain it because my test had alot more questions than what you guys arew talking about. i sure it got at least a 4 on it, at the least. He hasn't said anything about the number of questions on the exam, but rather the score you can get based on your answers. Example: If I remember correctly, my AP English exam was 3 essays and 2 sections each with 50 questions. I scored a 4 on the exam.

I've heard that many times, but I'm ready. I just took Chemistry, if that's any preparation. D:English Lit, English Lang, European History, US History, Physics B, Calculus AB, Microeconomics, Macroceconomics, Computer Science, French.... that's what I can remember so 10.
