I enjoyed the movie. It certainly had flaws (underdeveloped characters and villain, too much CGI) but it was entertaining enough to keep me interested throughout. The 40% at RT is unfair IMO - it's not a bad movie.
Less Action and more of chemistry between Team.Best part of the movie is Flash.Best scene of the movie Superman VS Batman.Wonder Woman is tottally wasted.Stephenwolff is just another delusional Loki.Movies a drag fest.
6/10 just came home very dissapointed ?Shame on you Zack Snyder.Bring back Patty Jenkins for direction for next instalments please.
Yeah, I'm definitely watching this at home.
My last Hope is The Last Jedi. Hope its not a rehash of Empire Strikes Back :(
If the story is anything to go by in that site that links what happens between beginning to end, it probably won't be entirely, though it has at least 2 similar things to ESB.
Also, I'm guessing you're going to see that movie as early as possible.
Indeed 1 st day itself :P
Lucky!!! I may not be able to see it on that day, but I might be able to see it before Christmas at least if possible!
It strikes me that DC fans never learn their lessons when it comes to supporting these trash films. With the exception of Wonder Woman (directed by an outsider of the whole DCEU shebang), everything within the DCEU is a dastard creation under the Zack Snyder helm, whom of which is a talentless hack with way more power under the Hollywood belt than he should have ever been entitled to.
If DC fans really care about their properties, they need to take an ax to the entirety of the DCEU label, by stop supporting it, and letting it burn to start something new. I'm sorry, but the creation of the DCEU was just a desperate jump into the movie ensemble race that Marvel started with Avengers, and it suffices to say the 'you snooze you lose' applies to DC here, as they snoozed on kick-starting the ensemble movie that lunged Marvel far ahead in the first place, and they've been stumbling just about every where since then just to keep up with a Marvel that's already figured their shit out.
DC fans, do what's right, and take Zack Snyder of the equation.

Hmmm.....less action is a criticism for a superhero team up really? I liked it....better than Thor Ragnarok actually.

Or maybe their opinion is different than yours. You DO allow for differing opinions don't you? Actually I think DC is better than Marvel. At least they're not remaking the same movie over and over.
This was far better than I was expecting, the action was really good and superman didn't suck in this for a change, he was a decent character for once.
The chemistry between the characters was great and there was plenty of funny moments rivaling marvels humour at times.
I gotta say they knocked this one out the park
This was far better than I was expecting
I got the same feeling. Granted I think the movie itself is average at best, but from an enjoyment standpoint Justice League was very good.

It's not even about the comics. Objectively, the DCEU movies are poorly made. There's really no defense around that and only a blind DC fanboy that savors in being better than the competition will be in denial. You are otherwise, perfectly entitled to enjoy trash films and I'm not taking that privilege away from you.
I have loved DC comics. There was once a time I preferred them to Marvel, but in the movie context, Marvel figured their shit out and it's paying off.
DC has stumbled along the entire way, and mostly because they had no blueprint for the shared universe the way Marvel took their sweet ass time doing when there was no competition to scramble.
I want what's good for DC, and unfortunately they've gotten to the point where they should just let what they're currently doing crash and burn so they can build up something better with actual talent behind the wheel building the movies.
I went and saw Justice League yesterday and I watch it 2 times just so I can give out my overall impressions. I freaking love it, better then Ragnarok even though I'm both Marvel/DC fanboy, I give credit to WB for stepping there game up this time around and try to fix what went so little wrong with Batman vs Superman. I'm glad Zack Snyder wasn't fully directing this JL and I gotta admit, Joss Whedon did a hell of a job restoring the DC universe such as Superman's return and it sure as hell help the character thus making it up from BvS fiasco. Steppenwolf was okay but he was downgrade as a DC villain, the threat level sure wasn't high but not as bad as Hela AKA the Goddess of Death so there's that.
Cyborg's performance and CGI was okay and I don't see any problems but I will say his actor is honestly probably the best of the bunch, it's Just hard to make Cyborg interesting but he was more interesting for me that is. I think he did the best of what he could, I still wish they would've shown the accident that got him that way.
The Flash, I liked the way he ran. He's throwing all his body and weight into running. It looked way better than the way they portray Flash running on tv (and yeah, TV budget vs Hollywood budget CGI goes a long way)
Batman was downgrade, a downgrade Punisher that is. Wonder Woman did her thing as in previous films so nothing to add here. Aquaman was okay. I'm giving JL a 7/10! I love it!

As a fan of both Marvel and DC, I wanted the DCEU to catch up with MCU so that both of them could be competing in the movie industry at a large scale. It would have been a whole new era of the silver screen. However, it looks like it won't be the case anymore, at least for the time being. This could be due to bad managerial and business decisions.
Said it for years, Marvel gambled by doing solos, starting with Iron Man at that and it paid off. I'm pretty critical of how they do shit but from a financial/marketing view, they made the right business choice building things up with Iron Man and then going from there. If Iron Man failed, no biggie, they're out a few millions and 8 months production time. Better than doing what DC did and tried rushing this shit out with not much exposition prior aka solo films. Man of Steel and Wonder Woman did have films, yes but Batman was brought in though Batman vs Superman and MOS happened so long ago no one even remembered Cavill as Superman until BvS came out. BvS was simply DC being lazy and trying to shoehorn as many JL characters as they could to serve as their "lead-in" to just get JL out the door and this is showing DC doesn't have the time to build up characters like Marvel did for years.
WB needs to just stop trying to recapture Marvel's lightning in a bottle and focus on telling good stand-alone stories again like they did with Wonder Woman. That's the only way they'll win peoples' trust back. WB needs to do there own thing, not trying to be Marvel.

Objectively they are not poorly made. I'm not sure what you consider poorly made. In Batman vs Superman they did edit it down.....and maybe they should have cut some other things out but overall it wasn't a bad movie. I like dark. But the acting and visuals were fine and I could follow the story on ONE viewing. Unless you can give some specifics than you SUBJECTIVELY think they were poorly made. Of all the criticism the movie did receive not much was technical.
Well preferring Marvel over DC is an opinion. One you are welcome to have. I like Marvel movies. They're light fluffy funny movies that follow a formula. But they aren't near as interesting on repeat viewings. DC is more of a thinking series IMO. It's also darker.......which I prefer. They are both just opinions. I mean I see the same movie with different characters when I see Marvel. I was disappointed in Ragnarok. GOTG2 was even more disappointing and the characters annoying.
Marvel isn't doing anything new anymore really. Thor Ragnarok had no emotional depth. Hela wasn't a very developed character either. The death of Odin was a side note. Even the Thor Loki dynamic is old. And I really liked Loki in Avengers. Best Marvel character but he's a side note now.
Less Action and more of chemistry between Team.Best part of the movie is Flash.Best scene of the movie Superman VS Batman.Wonder Woman is tottally wasted.Stephenwolff is just another delusional Loki.Movies a drag fest.

Yep, in fact, WB needs more DCEU movies in the quality of Wonder Woman(the only DCEU movie I gave an 8 to), then maybe, just maybe the DCEU will be really good(which can still happen in the future). Right now besides Wonder Woman, the movies either have been mixed reviewed or critically panned. I definitely agree with WB should be doing their own thing as well.

Thank you, you actually understand the circumstance that DCEU fell under and why it's such a bad shared-universe; and yes, it has a lot to do with bad management, executive decisions. I keep saying his name over and over, for a reason, and Zack Snyder is a talentless hack and he should be removed from being the lead of the DCEU. Snyder makes Michael Bay look like a god filmmaker.
My frustrations with DCEU is not at all because I just want to see DC burn down. Before the MCU was set up, I was always telling people how much I love DC. My frustrations come from the fact there's no soul put into these films and they're about as cold as big-blockbuster cash-grabs get, on top of being poorly made films in general.
I want the DCEU to burn so a new foundation can be made so they have a better chance at redeeming themselves.
I want the DCEU to burn so a new foundation can be made so they have a better chance at redeeming themselves.
I got a feeling that changes may be incoming--Justice League was initially projected to make $110 million this weekend, now they've lowered their estimated take to around $93-95 mil, giving it the lowest grossing opening weekend in the DCEU to date. IF this doesn't turn into the money maker they're hoping for--and it looks like it may underperform--any future plans they may have are gonna be revised, or tossed out altogether.

Coco is also coming out soon, and Pixar has another massive hit incoming with that one. If Justice League can't do favors this weekend, then the busy release schedule forthcoming won't help it either.
Was going to see it, but it’s a disaster according to the vast majority who saw it. gg Snyder destroying all that Wonder Woman goodwill.

You seem angry. I'm cool.
An ugly, bland, poorly written, poorly acted pile of trash that I;m happy will never receive my money.
I can't decide if op disliking it means it's actually good or if it means it's exceptionally terrible.
Disney is going to milk that franchise......
I don't doubt it. As I said before, if TLJ turns out to be an Empire Strikes Back clone I'm done with the main SW movies.
I'm only interested because Mark Hamill / Luke is in it. In retrospect, The Force Awakens alone wasn't memorable enough to make me feel hyped for the sequel.
I can't decide if op disliking it means it's actually good or if it means it's exceptionally terrible.
Its much better than Blade Runner 2049.
I highly doubt that.
I enjoyed the action. But the movie felt too disjointed at times.
I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok more than this one.
@indzman: **** no. The few clips I've seen just piss me off.
Especially the one where they're all in a tunnel & Cyborg shoots a missile at Steppenwolf. Catches the missile then lets it go at the wall before saying "Primitive society."
Guy using an axe... calls people shooting missiles primitives ? Um ok.
So he breaks the wall & all this water comes out. Wouldn't the water go both ways ? For some reason Aquaman runs up and uses his Staff of Resist Water and flexes while resisting the water lol... Is justice league weak to water ?
Absolute garbage.
I enjoyed the action. But the movie felt too disjointed at times.
I enjoyed Thor Ragnarok more than this one.
The movie was too short, I notice some of the stuff was missing.
I've heard there was a whole story segment that was supposed to be about Aquaman, but was cut out due to the reshoots, and allegedly, the studio head wanted the movie's run time no longer than 2 hours.
I think this was part of the problem with Batman v Superman as well. If you're going to edit a movie, it has to be done where there's still a flow to the story, and it makes sense in the overall narrative. Cutting things to simply meet a desired runtime without seeing if it makes sense story-wise results in a jumbled, incoherent mess of a story. If it doesn't make sense the first time, you shouldn't have to wait until the director's/extended cut to try to make sense of it.

To be honest, the fact the DCEU crew consistently destroys their flicks by butchering their films in the editing room, shows proof there's little to no talent whatsoever behind the team. If there is even a creative lead here, they should call out when shit's just not working instead of letting it look like a compilation video on Youtube.
Furthermore, there's even less talent when there's not enough discipline to know what direction the film's story has in the first place when they just film a ton of crap that ends up not being needed at all.
I enjoyed the action. But the movie felt too disjointed at times.

Thor was more of the same. Kind of boring really.........

You don't have to enjoy the MCU if you don't want to, but you can't deny there is far more control and consideration for the overall premise and character development spanned across all the films than anything DCEU has yet to pull off.
Thor Ragnarok really is not more of the same, although aligning itself with the tone of the rest of the latter films, The first Thor movies had this awkward Shakespearean tone that's really nonexistent in this one other than that theatrical gag Loki pulled early in the film. If you really think Ragnarok is just more the same then maybe you should wake up.
You can't say they're more the same when certain characters had significant transformations that will continue to change from here on out, especially the transformations that both Thor and Hulk had in this film are more than huge. Even the relationship between Thor and Loki had significant growth in Ragnarok.
Last I checked, the Avengers all split up, and Captain America went rogue. It's all more the same, I know.
I really don't buy it that the MCU is really all just the same when through all the films all the characters reveal new layers to their own development (even down to their own costumes which all change as they grow).
I'm sensing there's more bias coming from your end, possibly a little butthurt too, that the DCEU is just not shaped up to be something great (I wish it was).

Your assumptions are wrong. I watch all Superhero movies....both DC and Marvel. Marvel relies on a formula and it's getting stale. Really liked GotG when it was released...........the sequel was bland and tried too hard.
As for saying it's more of the same.........it doesn't rely on how many characters are in the movie. Thor Ragnarok had some splashy action....lot's of telegraphed jokes.....and that's it. No emotional depth. Hell Odin's death was a big nothing. He was there....he wasn't. They moved on. Nothing.
Marvel movies summed up.........bright colors, some banter. special effects, rise fall rise plot, pauses for comedic episodes, a macguffin, uninteresting villains, and forced humor that detracts from the emotional scene......all Marvel movies follow this. All of them. A take no risks story telling adventure to guarantee big box offices. Don't think. Just watch. And when you walk out of the theater.....it doesn't really stay with you. And on second viewing the movies are disappointing.
Especially the one where they're all in a tunnel & Cyborg shoots a missile at Steppenwolf. Catches the missile then lets it go at the wall before saying "Primitive society."
A fine and original line. Worthy of recognition in the archives of great villian lines.
Also, how well do you all feel they used this movies 300 million dollar budget?
Wasn't expecting to be bad and it wasn't.
Much better than Batman V Superman and Suicide Squad.
Really love the actor they picked for Cyborg, although some of his CGI work looked pretty rushed.
I really enjoyed Logan, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Thor this year.
As for DC, Wonder Woman was a decent movie but not as good as the Marvel movies IMO. About as good as Thor (8.5), but not as good as the other 2. I'll probably pass on JL from what others have been saying.
