Your advice is that of a greedy person that must live in a wealthy geographical area. 15-25% is the standard polite tip for low to mid range food services such as pizza delivery. Delivery men/women are lucky they get tiped at all. Its their job to deliver they arent inclined to a tip, especially if the area isnt as wealthy. Although its always a considerate thing to do if you can afford it. If you think your wage sucks and you rely on tips then get a real job.

Why the **** should anyone pay you a 50% - 60% tip...?
if the pizza cost idk $14....I give them a $10 and a $5 and say keep the change. so that would be like...idk $1 tip...but thats their job soo ya..ReaperV7
exactly.
Its not like theyre a server, standing on their feet for ten hours at a time, walking the equivelent of five miles (my friend wore a step counter to work, and it read that he walked six miles in his shift just going from kitchen to table and back again).
No, delivery guys sit on their ass, listen to their music, and drive around all day.
Usually a 2 dollar tip, give or take a few cents. Unless the service is exceptionally bad, then I won't tip at all.d51man
Pizza delivery folks can be really really bad, thats why I always check the stuff before I pay for it. Sometimes the cheese gets on the roof, or the pizza is collapsed, or the guy is just a jackass.
There isn't a delivery guy on the face of the planet that's gonna get me to tip more than a quarter of the price. Hell, he'd be lucky even for that.ok for everyone is confused about how much you should tip heres my advice

Sounds like i need to start delivering pizzas to some of your guy's houses. $5-10 tips?! Do you tip a police officer when he pulls you over? It might just be where i live but they get paid full wage so i don't see why i need to be loading them money for an already easy job.FrostyPhantasmEh. I can understand tipping the delivery guy. Gas is expensive, but they definitely don't deserve as big a tip as a server.

seriously.
Youre out of your mind. Tips should never exceed 20% unless in very special circumstances. Usually doubling tax (for about 16% total) is good enough.
So for 10 bucks food, 2 dollars tip MAX
20, you tip 4 MAX
etc, etc.
Jesus, man, you say youre a delivery driver but do you honestly expect to get tipped that much?

50%-60% tip!?!?!
For walking a pizza to my door??
Assuming you deliver 20 15 dollar orders a night that is $150.00!!! On TOP of a wage. On TOP of mileage for tax writeoff. WTF!?! That's a 40K year salary on tips alone!!
The best servers in the finiest dining restaurants are expected to be tipped 20%-25% at the most on top of a less than minimum wage.
on time: 3-5ish
late: nothing or 2$ if there nice about it
very late: nothing and telling them why there getting nothing cause theres no excuse if your that late.
I dont tip at all. They get paid to ride around in a car. Its their job. Its not like they had to take my order and bring me drinks and keep driving over to my house to see if i needed anything. They arent waiters they are drivers.
It makes as much sense as taking public transportation to a restaurant and tipping the driver when you get there.

You couldn't be more wrong. For starters, they have to cover fuel costs. Other than that, most pizza places don't pay their drivers a decent hourly wage because (like waiters in a restaurant) they are supposed to make their money in tips.
You people that don't tip, I don't understand how you can't feel like a total douche after you hand the delivery driver just enough money to cover the cost of the pizza.
You people are seriously a bunch of cheap...
