If you're on Windows- (Press+Hold)CTRL+(Press+Hold)ALT+(Press+Hold)DELETE. I don't know about Macs. If you're on Windows 7- After hitting those buttons, a page will pop up on your screen, and click the one option that says "Start Task Manager." Then you go to the Tab labeled "Performance," and it will show you everything. I like to have this pinned to my Task Bar just so I don't need to lag my computer doing the whole "CTRL+ALT+DLT" stuff, plus Task Manager is extremely helpful when a program phails and you want to end it. If you're on any other form Windows, I think it just starts the Task Manager up after hitting the buttons, but still the same thing as before (I think. It's been over a year since I've had Windows XP).

Another way is to right-click on the Taskbar and choose Start Task Manager. Works from XP to Win 7

Also.... I don't know if everyone is aware of this.....

But, if you double-click anywhere on Task Manager, it changes to this and vice versa. You can resize it to fit your tastes.
