All of it, numerous times, both in religious and non-religious study environments. I've read it in the context of literature study, I've read it in the context of anthropology, I've read it in the context of religious studies, and I've read it in the context of study under the church. - I'd suggest skipping all of that though, if you really want to kill some time, I'd go with the Harry Potter series.

I went to a Presbyterian elementary school; in daily religion classes from grades 3-6, we read the entire text of the NIV translation of the Bible

I find the stories don't flow very well, and some of the characters aren't well developed . But that's probably because I view the Bible as a work of fiction.

well, ive read many parts of it.

i mean a lot of books have had some kind of undertone from the bible because the bible essentially has everything

war, love, loyalty, other worldly powers, eye opening quotes, the end of the world and more.

its too bad though that many see it as strictly religious though. whatchya gonna do? :|

I've read that part where they're in the spaceship and the alien is trying to get the little girl. And jesus is in some kind of exoskeleton, and he says get your hands of her you expletive, then he blows the alien out of the airlock.

Not including the bits copied and pasted into religion threads, I presume...

By that standard, I have read none of The Bible.

So far in my high school theology classes over my 1/1/2 years of being there (I am in 10th grade) I read Genesis, Exodus, I read Leviticus on my own time and must say I was appalled. The book of Job, Daniel, Ruth. This year I have read all 4 Gospels and after X-mas break our class is going to read Acts. The priest of our school (who is a pretty cool dude used to be a comedian is going to come in a lecture about it which should be fun and a nice change from our fanatic theology teacher). I am agnostic btw. Oh ya and about our Theo teacher her son who is in the same exact class as mine somehow found out I was agnostic and he called me a baby killer and devil worshipper (I lol'd) and she simply let it go. Also she thinks I have no morals. They are a bunch of ignorant bafoons.

Edit: Oh ya and I read Revelation. In grade school I probably read some more but I dont remember.I read judges too.

Well, that was given as relative to the rest of it; without reading the rest, you can't say that other parts of the Bible are necessarily more interesting :) Though Revelations does read like an awesome collection of heavy metal album art....

I only got my copy like a week or so ago so I've only gotten through just about all of John, half of Gensis, and bits and pieces of Leviticus (which was really boring, to be honest). And I read it as literature.

Well I just skim read the rest of the bible and I can safely say...yes relatively Judges was a riotous progression of epic, excitement filled scene after another. And yes I am lying. And yes I realise that was not strictly neccessary but people nowadays...you can't be too sure.

All of it, it was pretty cool.

I also read a weird book... The Funny Bible (rough translation, courtesy of me). It's a piece of Soviet propaganda that took every chapter of the Bibl, debunked it, made fun of it and added some humorous drawings on top of it. Great read, I was constantly laughing.

Maybe because I'm not a religious person.

It's a pretty boring read. The writing isn't that great. I've never made it past the first paragraph.NecroKvltMuffin

quite a bit of it. do need to thoroughly finish it one day though. it's actually not that boring at all. I mean many of the things it teaches applies to everyone, atheist or not.
