How nice are your neighbors?

so i was playing some vidya games today, when my mom comes in and says our neighbor lost his dog. a little yorkie.

so i decided id help. i get outside, and see several people walking around looking for the dog. then several more in the fields behind our house.

hell there was even this one guy driving around looking for him.

i took my dog anna, and walked around the block to maybe get the dogs attention. anna and his dog always bark at each other and try to attack each other, so i figured that might help.

we went around the block but to no avail. people still continued to search. then went inside for a while, came back outside, and the wife informed us that they found their dog. so thats good.

i think its pretty awesome when half a neighborhood comes together to help their fellow neighbors. im glad i live in a nice neighborhood.

so how about you guys? how nice are your neighbors? any stories would be welcome.

I don't think they mind me.

I have no opinion on them. They don't bother me.

They're cool, I guess. One's my cousin I hardly talk to, another's an old man (in his 80s or 90s, it looks) who I talk to coming from school. Making myself useful and taking care of his chickens in October.

I don't know the rest of my neighbors, don't really bother with them.

it's honestly the walking dead where i live no matter what time of day it is no one is outside or making a sound it's eery as hell

though i did have these kids acrossed the street that had a crappy car with a huge stereo system in it and all day infront of the house just blast their bass beats for hours and days on end i wanted to stick a bomb in their freaking car and just watch it explode.

i hate people who blast their car stereos. most the people that do that, have horrible systems and play crappy songs.

I dislike them, both neighbors on the left and right have big trucks and vans and take all the parking spots. The one on the right has like 3 vans for himself and has his friends/workers come over alot and park THEIR vans. smokingsbad

are you saying you have a horrible speaker system?

um. not very. They're always parking their pickup trucks in the middle of the road. Making it hard to get into the driveway.

Two of them are pretty nice. They're old retired ladies and I help them with the heavy-duty stuff and they make me pies. :) They're racist as hell, though. I got one of them (Mira) to admit that her racism is unfounded but she says "I'm too old to change", the other doesn't give a fvck.

The young couple across the street I don't much care for. We aren't bitter toward each other but they have absolutely zero tact. They curse up a storm in front of my young nephews, their normal conversational tone is my shouting, they're each 300+ pounds and complain about it, and then bring home two big mac meals each with a side of a few McDoubles (double cheeseburgers for those who don't know) and a gallon of iced tea each, and it's gone before they have time to look at it. They blare their music so loud my neighbor closer to them (one of the old women mentioned above) asks nicely if they could turn it down it's "fvck this, fvck that, fvck you, I do what I want."

Fortunately, my house is nearly 100 yards from the road, so I don't hear it unless I go outside. Otherwise, there'd be a problem because I can't stand that bullsh1t.

The guy just down the street is slow. He's my age (mid-30's) and can't read a word. He's a great guy, though...I don't think he knows how to be dishonest. I shuttle him around when his dad can't and help him fill his bills and stuff out.

That's all my neighbors. Unless you count Miras granddaughter who looks exactly like Aussipets pic (hmmm). Her little 16-month old girl is gorgeous and I help them out from time-to-time with babysitting (no charge) so we get along.

My neighbors are nice.

Most of the people in my neighborhood are middle-aged and quiet, so I have no problem with them and they likely don't have a problem with me. There are a few college students in the neighborhood and they don't bother me either.

However, the house directly behind us has had several families over the past 6-8 years and they've all been really annoying. They've all been young families with obnoxious kids. I hate kids so it drives me crazy. The people who live there now are always whining at me about my dog (even though she's not loud) and the little kid always tells my dog to shut up. I'm not a huge fan.

to the left of us we have, who my parents call "the yard nazi" as he seems to mow his yard every other day. they are nice people. thogh they tend to keep to themselves.

to the right of us we have, the owners of the dog that got lost in my OP of this topic. they are nice people always greeting us. they made us brownies once, for letting their pets inside. apparently they have a cat that likes to open the front door if its not locked. once i was going to check the mail and noticed their dog was out and barking. didnt think nothing of it, then went out about 5 minutes later and he was still out. so i walked to their driveway and saw their door open. kncoked and rang the doorbell, no answer. so i had got the dog and cat to go inside and shut the door. i informed my neighbors later when they got home, and they in return, made us brownies.

neighbors caddy corner from us, are kinda rude. they are teachers. the guy has a short fuse and is rude alot. never see the wife really.

neaighbors across from us are nice. they kinda keep to themselves though.

those are my immediate neighbors.

EDIT- dont have any neighbors behind us. instead we have a cornfield. that switches from corn to beans every year, i believe. its beans this year i believe.

All are okay. One of my best friends lives two blocks away so that's really convenient.

I've never met my neighbors and hardly ever see them. My house has access to the garage from the alley behind our house so I hardly go in the front yard because I always park in there. Some of the other houses have the same set up but they don't park in their garages. They probably think we really like to keep to ourselves which isn't the case.

Most of them are nice, except one. She is an evil witch. She always occupies the guest parking spots... Has set up this god damn ugly "fence" because she thinks we do not respect her property. This fence came up after someone else used her favourite parking spot, which wasn't her to begin, and still isn't hers :| She has reported both my dad and another neighbour to the police. My neighbours on one side are okay, don't really speak to them. The man is a cop, don't know what job his wife has.

My neighbours on the other side - a man and woman in their 60s I think - annoy me, because they're nosy, lol. Plus, a few days ago I noticed the woman looking at me when I went in the garden so I smiled at her to be polite - didn't smile back. So rude, haha :p
