A few times a month.

[QUOTE="jamejame"]Yeah, but a cigarette AND a beer...heavenly.Make it an e-cigarette and I can't say I'd disagree :P. I try to avoid smoking though I agree that it is very relaxing.Beer is pretty much the only alcohol I drink, unless I want to get ****ed up which is a very rare wish for me. About once or twice a week I'll casually drink 1 - 4 beers at a time. Never enough to get drunk, only slightly, slightly buzzed if at all. Its relaxing to me in the way a cigarette is for a smoker.

I get wasted on average a few times a month although it is going to become twice in 2 weeks this friday.
Edit: on the topic of beers above, but Coors Light is pretty nice - don't know if you get Stella Artois in the US? Very nice from draught.
Ravensmash
Yeah, we get Stella Artois in the US.It became popular a few years ago in nicer restaurants, and now lots of places have it. My usual bar has it on draft.
I drink it once a week i drink 2 strong cans of beer, 2 small bottles of red wine and a shot of whiskey and after drinking all of that stuff i'm practically drunk.
sukraj
i drink a fifth of liquor every other night :) but i take a week off every now and then... as long as you watch yourself, you can drink a lot without getting dependent :-D
Knowing the Simpson's, that would be an ironic joke on the Comic Book Guy.I never drink. "Alcohol is the nectar of a nitwit" - Comic Book Guy (The Simpsons)

I dont anymore. Awful taste, also equivalent to smashing your head against a wall.
Tends to deteriorate health.
Have you thought that maybe people don't like your "holier-than-thou" attitude?ProudLarry
You mean like the person who cannot tolerate any other opinion than pro alcohol? The one so insecure; that any other views have to be criticised until everyone admits alcohol is great?
He just doesn't like his daily habbit being criticised.
Didn't bother reading any of it, why? Because you must be very insecure if you had to tear a post apart like that, just because it "dared" to criticise the idea of drinking alcohol. It's not like I'm pulling the bottle out of your mouth man.
What's the matter? Cannot stand the idea of a none pro opinion? Have to attack on sight? Alcohol has already dominated modern life, you would have to be a fool not to recognise that, so what's one guys negative perception? Or a few? You have gone after multiple people for blasphemy against alcohol.
Something about looking at alcohol negatively pushes you to criticise, I can speculate as to what; but there is definitely something there that's more aggressive than the average opinion.
ADF_Game
How do you know its irrelevant if you didn't read it? Does your abstinence from alcohol give you magical powers of clairvoyance from our yellow sun? I'll keep tearing apart your posts until you actually post up something resembling an argument. Where is the argument here? This is the only thing even resembling a point:
Alcohol has already dominated modern life, you would have to be a fool not to recognise that...
ADF_Game
Which you naturally don't back up with any evidence, reasoning, or even an explanation as to what you mean by "dominated." Do you even understand what an argument is?

Really? I can't tolerate any other opinion than pro-alcohol? Let's think about this. Numerous people have stated in this thread that they don't drink. Have I attacked their person? Have I questioned how they're living their lives? Have I tried to change their minds? Nope. My sole issue is with judgemental, non-informed people like yourself. Or I should really say, person like yourself, since no one else I've seen in the thread is acting like you.
Anyway, your last two posts are a bunch of appeal-to-motive and ad hominem attacks, which like everything else you've posted in this thread, mean absolutely nothing. I'll repost my challenges to you:
Here, I'll put my points in bullets, so you'll have no excuse for writing a content-free post next time:
- Drinking alcohol in moderation is not toxic or poisoning.
- Your reasons why people drink in the first place are a bunch of absurd generalizations that are further non-informed by the fact that you've never drank.
I
Complaining that I'm arguing against you, and theorizing on why I'm arguing against you is not an argument. Why do I have to point this out to someone?
