You just can't compare men and women's bodies like that. Men do not shave because it's part of who they are as a man, women shave because it's a part of who they are as a woman, their gender. You can honestly tell me you'd date a woman with hairy legs and armpits? I don't even know how you'd find a woman like that in the first place..Solid_Snake325
Dude. Your logic is pretty flawed here. I wouldnt date a girl with as much hair as me, but i understand that some women see how hypocritical it is to have to alter the way they look just because we say so.

I'm not trying to make a logical point here. It's quite annoying to me to listen to people complaining about what society tells them to do (lose weight, shave, etc.). Smart people follow this small set of rules to get ahead in life. You're upset because women shouldn't have to shave their bodies to look attractive? Do you not even know how little time it takes? This is not a controversial topic. Most would agree that women should shave..

Did you read what I typed? Where did I say that women should shave their entire bodies? I'll rephrase for you: Women should shave the major areas of their body that most already do: Legs, armpits, etc. (Not sure what other areas since I'm not a woman).

Its kinda usless to shave unless the hair bothers the host or they want to do it themselves, i wouldnt make a big deal out of it.

Meh, I was under the impression you were saying everything had to go, which is stupid. Women have very light barely noticeable hairs everywhere. That's a fact of life people just need to deal with. :P

I'm confused. I don't see ANY girls who don't at least shave their legs. Are you saying that you wouldn't at all be bothered if a girl didn't shave at least her legs? I'm sorry, I thought that it was extremely common and practically mandatory for all girls to shave their legs. I think not doing so would bother almost everyone, not just the host.

Damn STDs. Why haven't we found a cure for them yet.

It's called don't have sex with people that have STDs. Easy enough.

Well, yeah. But if you had a really hot girl and she had an STD chances are you won't go all the way with her. If they didn't exist, it's just one less problem.

Stop being so narrowminded. It's society that makes us do it. If we had never grown up to believe it's normal and sexy to be extremely skinny and be able to share clothes with a 10 yearold, and big busty women are the best, do you think we would shave anything?

I have a friend who doesn't. It's a little strange but you get used to it after awhile. She's also met some guys that like it... apparently they say it feels soft? Haha! She's an interesting character, though... she's a vegan and plays in a punk rock band. Just FYI, most girls shave when they're wearing skirts or shorts or something but if you plan on being in a long term relationship you better be able to deal with a little leg hair now and then (especially in winter haha)... most girls don't shave obsessively. :P

Again since we live in a society, it's smart and practically expected to follow some of its rules. If you want to reject it out of some misplaced sense of worth then go ahead. That's not what I think. And it's not just society, other authorities obviously teach rules to people.

Mate trust me, after the military lesson we had about the treatment of STD's, there is no girl hot enough to submit to having an iodine covered q-tip rammed down your peephole.

I see what you're saying. I guess I'd just have to see it, which I haven't. Still to me, not shaving at all would not be acceptable. Shaving a little later than usual however is not a problem.

Pretty sure that shaving up is not a "rule" of society, just as men are not expected by law to be built like Stallone or be perpetually clean-shaven. And expecting perfection is just unrealistic.

Um ok I'll rephrase "rule" so it doesn't sound so harsh. How about. a standard that's encouraged to be followed? A model for appropriate behavior? Keep bashing me all you want, I always believe what I say.

Why are you deciding what's "acceptable" and what's not? You're jumping from what's preferred to speaking as though all girls HAVE to shave, or else they're sub-human or something. Should guys be forced to shave their bodies as well?

I redefined "rule" in the previous post for ya. I think we can agree that women shaving their legs is more of an expected guideline than men being built like Stallone or perpetually clean-shaven. Try to think of less extreme examples.

Sorry to keep weighing in on this, but Paris Hilton is occasionally promoted by that which we call society as a standard to follow for youg girls, essentially saying if your supposedly attractive (And by God I don't see it) you're somehow able to overcome a complete lack of intelligence, ambition, and indeed redeeming value. I agree, really - it's great if a girl ISN'T hairy. But would you really ignore a funny, attractive girl if she'd not met up with a razor that day?

I agree. Like I said at the beginning, there are some really high standards here. I shave, sure, but if it's in the winter and I'm wearing pants and I go a week or two without, well, that's my choice. There's no reason you should judge me for it. I would never judge a guy for growing a beard or having hairy arms. There is a definite double standard.

Actually it'd be ten times harder for me to find a girl who doesn't shave her legs nor armpits than a girl who does. So thank you very much. I'm not looking for the perfect woman, never said I did. Just the ones who are smart enough to not rebel against society.

Most of you are exaggerating what I'm saying. Let's just go to the beginning of what I simply was saying: girls should shave their legs and armpits like 90% of them already do. Can we just leave it at that please. I do not wish to start arguing about society and how women should look physically.

[QUOTE="MAILER_DAEMON"]Why are you deciding what's "acceptable" and what's not? You're jumping from what's preferred to speaking as though all girls HAVE to shave, or else they're sub-human or something. Should guys be forced to shave their bodies as well?SkylinePigeon

No indeed. :P
Actually it'd be ten times harder for me to find a girl who doesn't shave her legs nor armpits than a girl who does. So thank you very much. I'm not looking for the perfect woman, never said I did. Just the ones who are smart enough to not rebel against society. Solid_Snake325
How is not shaving legs akin to rebelling against society? :?

[QUOTE="Solid_Snake325"][QUOTE="Deihjan"] "appropriate behavior" isnt exactly rephrasing it so it doesn't sound as "harsh". You, good sir, will stay single your entire life unless you buy a RealDoll. Enjoy your miserable, sick world...Deihjan

So it's a wife who stays in the kitchen then? Go back to the 40ies, will ya?

Society nowadays does not tell women to stay at home. Like you said, that was in the 40s I assume? And I didn't say that people should follow all of societies' rules, just a few. Look many of these standards are already common knowledge anyway.

[QUOTE="D3nnyCrane"][QUOTE="Solid_Snake325"] Um ok I'll rephrase "rule" so it doesn't sound so harsh. How about. a standard that's encouraged to be followed? A model for appropriate behavior? Keep bashing me all you want, I always believe what I say. Solid_Snake325

Most of you are exaggerating what I'm saying. Let's just go to the beginning of what I simply was saying: girls should shave their legs and armpits like 90% of them already do. Can we just leave it at that please. I do not wish to start arguing about society and how women should look physically.

Fair enough - I think Deihjan is flying the flag well enough for me anyway... :P

Haha this is quite an accomplishment. I'm against everyone in this thread, including two mods. Maybe "rebelling against society" is too harsh, but I assumed that women shaving their legs was a common standard that society (meaning mostly everyone) expects.

Bwahahaha true... I love beards... I think every guy should have one! Haha! But I will not impose my wish on society or think less of those who don't decide to have beards... I will just appreciate beards extra more. :P

I rarely see such types of women anymore. Whether in public or in private.

I know! :( It's very sad. We should start a charity and collect beard hair for men with underdeveloped follicles.
