The only time I give out money, is if I'm at some food joint and a close friend doesn't have any money. In that case I'll give them some money to help them out.
i lend in generosity, in other words i will lend money to someone who really really really needs it and is a good friend of mine, and not be expecting to have it back. It wont be large sums either, more like 5 or 10 dollars
It depends on who I'm loaning it to. If it's someone I see again, like a good friend or sibling, I'll do it as often as they need. Chances are I'll need to borrow money, so if I ever need to, I can remind them that I loaned them money before. If it's someone that I rarely see, chances are I won't because I may never see it again.

Thats what Ido too. lending and borrowing money with strings attached can ruin friendships. Its best to do small amounts and consider it a gift,maybe they will return the favor,but if they do not you still have a friend.
But seriously, life is too short for me to keep track of who owes me how much money. It's kind of like a more amicable version of a grudge. I have no interest in the entanglements of needing to enforce debts.

Maybe once every couple weeks Usually for less than $100 But I only lend to people I'm very close with. Not one of those guys who go to the same parties or anything like that.
Well, I do if afriend of mines is like a few cents short from like...buying a soda :P Then I'll lend them a few cents but I don't expect them to pay me back, because they helped me out in the past in similar situations.
Not all the time but a little bit. Not huge amounts and only to my friends. Though I am the poorest of my friends so often they lend me money, I pay it back of course.
